Great Thermostat

We love our new thermostat. We have had it now for about two weeks and its adapting to our lifestyle already. LOVE IT and truly recommend. My husband and I were able to install it within 25 minutes.

The Nest Thermostat is just amazing with all that it can do. I am impressed at how it learns the settings and controls that temperatures using all of the programmable algorithyms. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to save on their energy costs. I don’t know how I lived without this. Technology is so great!

Disappointing to learn

It is disappointing to learn that it often not compatible with the wiring and the system of most home heating and a/c units. It has cost me more than any savings over the next 5 years just to get it to work. The unit needs power but it often has issues. It's sad to hear that many dealers have stopped selling them to their customers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nest thermostats are designed to work with most 24 V systems, and the online Compatibility Checker has full instructions to check if your heating and cooling systems are compatible with Nest thermostats. Please see this link for more info about the Nest thermostat compatibility: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9246656
And though Nest thermostats would generally work without a common (C) wire, there are some systems that would require a C wire on the new Nest Thermostat like a heat only or cool only systems. You can visit this link to see all the types of system that requires to have a C wire: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9246656

Works great

It does everything as promised and does it well. Have only had it for about 6 weeks but when I reviewed my first gas bill after installing it, it showed that the average temperature for the current month was 5 degrees colder than the same month a year ago but the amount of gas in therms was exactly the same. I'm hoping this trend continues. I also love being able to set a timer on the fan-only.

I needed to replace my thermostat. Needless to say everyone uses Nest. Tried this and still going strong. I think it could be better as it needed some time to understand it....

I wanted a more technologically advanced thermostat for my home. The Nest Learning Thermostat has met the need. Easy install. Great look. Easy operation. Great acquisition.

This thermostat is awesome and the amount of customization you can do with this is outstanding. It looks very sleek in my home and is definitely something to look at. Installation was easy and the instructions were very easy to follow. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to upgrade their thermostat.
