It won't behave

Keeps switching to ECO even though I have ECO turned off. Very frustrating since I dont know it switched until temperature is unbearable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Connie MS, thanks for letting us know about this. We are sorry to hear that you’re having issues with Nest Learning Thermostat.
The Eco mode can be activated by different factors. Here are some settings you can check to make sure that your Eco Temperatures won’t activate automatically.
- Turn off your Home/Away Assist. Nest Learning Thermostat will automatically switch to Eco if it senses that nobody’s home.
- If you want to keep the Home/Away Assist active, make sure to use your phone location to determine if somebody’s home.

Amazing comfort

Since I owned one I had been complemented by my family and guests about the comfort level at home. Nest is the secret ingredient! They don’t know I’m saving too!

My Nest Thermostat

I got my Nest Thermostat so I can control the home heating system and it was a great investment, my average heating bill went down 30% by the thermostat learning when was nobody home and it turns on as soon as I walk in the door. I am very please with Nest Thermostat

I was very tired of my old thermostat, having difficulty reading the small print while trying to program it. I was looking for something easier and/or simpler to operate. Initially, I thought it was too expensive, but now I love the ease in operating it, the larger numbers that indicate the temperature, and the fact that I can control it from my phone. I am impressed.

Battery life

No where is there any mention that the Nest thermostat has a limited life due to an "unserviceable" internal battery. Buyers should be advised of this issue and that a "c" wire connection to the base is advised to circumvent the battery issue.
