My Wife and I have been Nestors for several years and never had any problems. We are on our 2nd Nest Thermostat in our second home and feel that this was the best choice for us. The ease of operation and if the need arises , it's easy to contact Nest Support for help. We have no reservations in recommending this product. Our next purchase is going to be the nest camera. So become Nestors like us!

Highly recommend. Convenient. Electricity and gas bill saving device. Furthermore all Nest products connect to Google Assistant which makes a better product. Highly recommend!

Install took less than 30 minutes and I'm no expert. Online instructions, including video made the install super easy. Programing was easy on the thermostat. Great that you can change settings from a computer or phone. Only been in one day, we'll see how it learns.

Glitchy

Setup and installation is easy first of all. I am also happy with the quality of the hardware itself as well. The down side is the software. Home and Away only works when it wants to. History also skips days of the week sometimes, simply says no data. Other times I have seen the Nest call for an increase of temperature in the middle of the night IGNORING the scheduled lower temp. Both times in this senecio, it ran stage 1 heat for a extremely long time. Keep in mind during this glitch it also ignores the programming of temp rise to time. (If stage 1 temp/time isn’t satisfied, it is supposed to call stage 2). Keep in mind it wasn’t supposed to run regardless!I have performed reboots several times which do seem to work a day or two.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Rebooting your Nest Learning Thermostat was a great idea! However, if the issue is persistent, we recommend performing a factory data reset to fix the issue. To reset, go to Settings and then Reset, then choose All Settings. After resetting to defaults, you’ll need to set it up and add it to your home in the app again just like you did when you first installed it.

Love my nest thermostat. Definitely saves on our energy bill. Works reliably. Links with Amazon Alexa and the Nest app make it easy to use from anywhere.
