Nest Learning Thermostat

Relatively easy to install once I replaced the 3 amp fuse I popped. Had some difficulty with the automatic drop in temperature when I had left the house. I did not want it to do that. I finally figured out how to turn off. Since then, it has been working like a champ. Thanks

Great and reliable product

This will be my second nest thermostat. Moved into a new home that had another smart thermostat and while it worked ok, just wasn’t as good as nest. Switched it out to go back to nest.
Works reliably, easy to use and setup, and great compliment to the other nest products. Very happy, highly recommend.

Could be better for zoned systems

I have a 2 zone heat pump system with aux resistance electric heat. The installer still hasn't gotten the aux heating system working, but that's his issue.I wish that the 2 nest thermos I have knew about each other and could swap displays.I also wish the current ambient temp was more clearly displayed.

If you move your thermostat across the room or to another room entirely, it will need time to learn about its new spot. You might notice that it behaves differently while it’s learning. If your thermostat’s behavior causes trouble, you can reset its temperature schedule and Home/Away settings. This can help it learn more quickly about its new location. It will be difficult for your Nest thermostat to work as expected if you move it frequently. This can cause unexpected thermostat behavior, and you could get too warm or cold.
3rd gen Nest Learning Thermostats can use Farsight to show you useful information when you approach. You can have Farsight show you either the target temperature or the current room temperature. If the room seems cooler or warmer than what your thermostat says, Farsight may be set to show you the target temperature, not the current temperature in your home. Best Thermostat!

I love my Nest! I don't ever have to switch between "heat" and "cool". I can select a range of temperatures to stay within, and it will heat or cool as needed automatically! I love when it changes my settings while I'm out at work, it saved me a ton on my bills! Being able to set it from Google Home or Nest App means I can be lazier than ever! I'll never need another thermostat as long as I live!

It was easy to install. I love that I can control my temperature from my phone. I no longer have to get out of bed to turn on/off the a.c. or heater. I can preheat my house before I get home which is super nice. I'll see if it starts to save me some pennies on my electric bill in the future. Either way, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Compared to the Honeywell Lyric “smart” thermostat that came with my new home, the Nest is superior in every way. Where the Lyric has problems with losing connection to my built-in WiFi, losing programmed settings, a spotty configuration process, and Honeywell’s servers losing my thermostat from my account multiple times, the Nest was easy to install and set up and has been flawless so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!
