The nest works great and while we were out of town we were notified that our furnace quit working. This is a great feature for cold temperatures here in Minnesota. My daughter was able to come to the house while we arranged for repairs. That in itself paid for the thermostat since we could have ended up with burst waterlines.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to install

Six reasons I am happy with Nest and would recommend:
1. I had an old American Standard Mercury bulb thermostat. So i was little scared if Nest would work at my home. But it did! Score!
2. Installation was a breeze. I took a photo of the old thermostat and use the compatibility checker tool to get a diagram for which wire goes where
3. I woke up at 5 AM and it was little cold.. while laying in the bed I used my phone to bump up the temperature.. man, did it felt like Science fiction house hehe (kinda felt cool)
4. I have two stage furnace, so it takes a while before the blowers kick in. The nest tells me when my furnace is actually warming up. So i dont have to look for the sound :p
5. In the box, the nest came with a cool screw driver, I really like it

6. It makes my house feel like a smart house

Exceeds expectations!

I was sceptical about paying that much for a thermostat, but I'm glad that I did. The sleek design, easy installation and setup, ease of use and it's already cutting my power bill. Outstanding product.

Technology: beautiful inside and out

I cannot believe I’ve waited this long to get a Nest thermostat. What a beautiful device - and one what’s not only pretty on the outside, it’s insides are just as impressive if the technology itself is any indication. The app is intuitive, just plain easy and makes it almost fun to change the temp in your house. I am giddy just looking at this technology on my wall.

I am so happy I have the Nest. I feel secure in knowing that I have control even when not at home. I can set the controls and monitor through my phone app, and the product quality is fantastic. Anyone could benefit from the Nest.
