Good value for money

Good value for money. I really recommend to use with an opentherm gas boiler. Return of investments per one season, easy to use.

Let me start off by saying I'm a middle aged woman who is only slightly technology literate. But I do consider myself a bit handy around the house. When I received the nest as a gift from my step dad because he wanted me to be the "guinea pig" and install and learn it so that I may teach him, I took on the challenge! I read the literature that came with the product and I watched the YouTube video. I have to admit I was a bit overwhelmed and had doubt that I could install this without help. I decided to walk away until that feeling passed. I came back to it the next day and with the screwdriver that was provided in the product box, I went to work. I found that nest had covered absolutely everything that they needed to and then some was possibly the reason I was overwhelmed was because of OVER information! They had included every possible scenario under the sun. (Nothing wrong with that!) Which turns out that I had a super straight forward installation experience. After I went through the physical install, I ran the set up all on my own also. Downloaded the app and connected it. I walked away from this experience feeling smarter and more capable and more tech savvy than ever! So, thank you to Nest for making me feel that way! :)

I feel like we joined the modern era

This thermostat was so easy to install and looks beautiful in our home. We had to touch up the paint around the thermostat when we realized it was much smaller than our previous thermostat, and the white plate that came with it was too big for the edge of the wall, where we installed it. I'm sure I would have wanted to touch up the paint anyway, since this thermostat is way more beautiful on its own.
It operates like a dream too. Of course, we occasionally use the Nest App or ask Google Home to change our temperature for us, but once we set our desired temperature ranges at certain times, we haven't had to make changes much at all.
Seeing the history of usage, how long our heater or AC has been running is very cool. We can already see how our energy costs are going to come down!
I would recommend this to a friend!

A must have for the tech savvy homeowner

Just bought two Nest learning thermostats to replace 15 year old Honeywell programmable t-stats. I was amazed at how easy they were to install. I had both units installed and operational in under 30 total minutes. A great product, easy instructions, and great technology.

My step-daughter told me about her Nest Learning Thermostat. I did some research and saw that I would get a rebate from ComEd. So I made the purchase. Turns out it is worth the money without the rebate.

Excellent smart tech

While it costs more than a regular programmable thermostat, the Nest Learning Thermostat is easier to use, encourages energy saving, and it's helpful to be able to control it from my iPhone wherever I am. And it's handsome. If I were inclined, it could become an integrated part of a smart home control system...

Whats not to like about the nest

I thought I would like the nest, but pleasantly surprised that I LOVE it. Love the reports, love the fact when I leave the house it automatically lowers/raises the temperature and with the app, before I get home, I turn it back on. Love that I dont have to climb out of bed when the temperature changes in the middle of the night, I just grab my phone and adjust. The nest is the best product in my house, yep even over the microwave. lol
