Great for every home!

I love being able to set a schedule, the Nest being able to Learn my schedule, go into AWAY mode when I'm not home and forget to turn it down. It saves me money each month! What's better than that? I have Alexa so I can also just ask her to charge the temp or change it from the app. I can check how long my furnance runs each day and when I'm being Eco-friendly with my use. The initial price tag may hold some people back but it pays for itself within a few months

Replaced Old Programmable Thermostat

I'm an old techno geek but had neglected the thermostat upgrade in my house until I went to replace the batteries on the 15 yr old unit. That's when I decided it time to upgrade and looked no further than the Nest because of it's reputation for innovation, reliability, and accuracy. The ease of setup (Nest display actually showed me where I had screwed up one wire), the futuristic look, and the capabilities proved this to be the right decision. It's still learning but I expect to take full advantage of everything thermostat offers.

Ease of Installation and Use

A colleague from work showed me the Nest on his phone and how easy Nest was to use. I watched a YouTube video about its functions and installation soon after. Since, my old thermostat was a few years old, unattractive and not really easy to program I decided to switch. I also got a great deal from the electric company if I bought through them. So the old thermostat was hard to understand. In fact, I thought I had a problem with the heating system and was ready to call a plumber, because of the clumsiness of the old thermostat. Shortly after installing the Nest according to the great instructions it came on and worked fine on the lower floor of the home. I soon realized I wired it incorrectly and it was controlling heat on the upper floor too where my wife watches television. My wife was sweating for days complaining about her menopause. She complained she shut the thermostat off and the baseboards were still hot. I soon realized I spliced into the upper floor heating by mistake and the Nest was controlling everything. Anyway, all is well now. The Nest works great. I do enjoy cranking it up to 80 degrees now and then while I'm at work and hearing my wife complain about her menopause. I plan on getting another for the upper floors too.

don't hesitate just buy it! do yourself a favor & buy the best to save the most $$$! simple to install for any age or now how! best product for anyone with a HVAC system period. very simple & enjoyable! I'm glad I bought Nest over any other brand and/or product! :-) Thank you Nest for such an enjoyable experience! which continues to be the best enjoyable experience!

Just bought a new home and needed to replace the thermostat that was older than me... fortunately Nest made that super simple. They had a step by step install guide with PICTURES! Everything was easy about the process. Purchased online and after unboxing, I had the new learning thermostat singing in about 30 minutes!... okay, maybe not actually singing but monitoring my homes situation.
The product feels great - solid and quality material feel. The rotating ring is smooth. The screen interface is snappy and crisp.
The app is super simple as well. Very clean design that gives you the info. We let the house cool a bit (in winter) while we are away and on the way home, I bump it back up to our comfortable temperature and by the time I arrive at home, the house is ready and comfortable.
11 out of 10 WOULD buy again and suggest.
