Disappointed it did not last longer

My chromecast ultra 4k performed well for a few years but now is randomly rebooting without cause. I even tried to reset it with no success.
Disappointed it did not last longer. I am so dependent on casting I am buying the 1080p chromecast 3rd gen anyway.

I had to replace my old one, I do not have a smart tv but this allows me to have just that. Makes life much easier considering I don’t have cable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Chromecast Ultra

Have the original Chromecast. Wanted a 2nd so upgraded to ultra. Up an running & connected to my Google home in 2 minutes. 4K is good on a 4K TV. But am I actually noticing the difference? Not necessarily BUT I experience some lagging on the original Chromecast and I don't on the ultra so that in itself makes it worth it.

First of all, those with negative reviews are people with no idea how to use technology. Setup is extremely easy and I was up and running (and streaming) within 10 minutes once my cell phone ran through the initializing and pairing my Google Home app with my 4K LG 60" TV.
I have Bell FIBE WiFi which is extremely fast so there is absolutely no lagging while watching content. During setup, it is made very clear that you do not control volume through anything other than your main remote control. In my case, my Bell remote. Not my phone and not my soundbar.
Great product. Great price for the Ultra at $70.

Setup was beyond simple. Pretty much plug and play.
Love the look and how low profile it is.
It's so pretty, I almost wish people could see it on my television.

I like this product so well that I have them on three of my TV's. I like to cast from my phone and tablet to my TV set and this product is ideal for doing it. I would recommend this Chromecast to anyone.

Netflix keeps on crashing no matter which source

This seems to be a known issue. When streaming Netflix (not in 4k), the chromecast completely crashes and reboots. I had exchanged it for another one with the same issue. Search results in google indicates that this is happening for a lot of users.
