Sometimes when I'm baking the oven freaks out and the temp shoots up 50 degrees.....this usually results in burned food. This doesn't happen often. Its only happened 2 x since I've had it (a little over a month. I like it a lot tho.

Exactly what we wanted

We didn't want to change to a flat top stove so we searched for one with the coil elements. When we found this one we knew we'd found our replacement. It looks modern and updated with the black and stainless. The stove top heats quickly and evenly. The oven also preheats quickly and unlike our previous oven actually reaches the temperature you set. We are very happy with the unit. The one issue is the black stove top surface is tough to keep clean. It shows fingerprints and streaks almost anytime you wipe it down. We are still trying to find the best way to clean off the prints and streaks. other then that - which is a cosmetic thing - its great.

Old fashion cook top

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'am not a fan of glass cook tops. We just built our final home,and outfitted with all Whirlpool appliances. 56 years married has me going back to the standard I grew up withi including a coil stove top. Thanks Whirlpool for being there for me.

This is a range that works. At least i didn't have to buy a glass topped range...thank you for giving me this choice! However, in this day and age of computers, why couldn't this be designed so that one doesn't set the timer one minute at a time???? I'm going to buy a timer that i'll use instead. So silly! Would still prefer the old style oven choices instead of all the touch pad stuff. Might be easier to clean, but not easier to use.

We love our new Whirlpool Electric Range. It is the perfect size with all the features we need as retirees. The range top is easy to keep clean as well as the self cleaning oven. Especially enjoy the temperature display as the oven is heating to desired temperature. Cooking temperature is spot on. Our Whirlpool Electric Range was an excellent buy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my stove!!

I bought this a month ago. I had the glass-top before and just didn't think it heated things well. I decided to go with the coil burner this time. I am SO glad I did. It heats up fast! It doesn't take near as long as the Whirlpool I had before that was glass-top. I am VERY pleased!
