basic stove

needed a new stove did not want to pay a huge amount of money, did not really like the glass topped style. price did not require a bank loan. the online reviews were good and right on. elements heat up fast the oven works great now it is low end when it comes to the storage area doesn't slide great and the drip pans under the range elements are thin and discolor from the heat. but basic problems can fixed with out calling a repairman and saying it again it did not cost any where near what a flat top would. if you want to basic cook and bake this is the one.

The main BAD feature of this range is the cheap drawer mechanism; when the drawer is pulled out, it very easily goes off-track. I store pans for use in the oven there and it is an annoyance. Also, the back of the drawer is low and often allows pans to fall behind the drawer to be "fished"out. Otherwise, I would have given an excellent rating to this range.Also, the key that indicates which stove top eye is on/off is not as clear as it could be. I have figured this out but it took a while.

I checked several slide in ranges, makes and models. Replaced a built-in Whirlpool electric range that was used 28 years. Range still worked great. Glass on door broke, and was no longer available. I checked other reviews on several different makes and models. Liked the reviews I saw on this model, plus I've had good quality from Whirlpool products. I got a good price on the range, and installation was easy.

I have had a wonderful time baking with my new Whirlpool oven/range. Everything I haved baked has come out perfect at the exact time the recipes have written. Even the stove top has produced accurate time for simmering. The range and oven controls are simple and the range looks cute in my kitchen. I have a renewed energy to bake and cook again because of the perfect meals that this range has produced!
