We replaced a 15-year-old gas range with this one in December 2015. The obvious advantages of newer technology did not disappoint - my wife is a compulsive baker and is known for her cakes; the convection feature and improved temperature accuracy have really been great for her already great reputation.The folding half-rack in the oven is probably one of the greatest inventions of the age - why didn't I think of that?The fifth burner is very useful for us - we have a large local family and family gatherings are improved with this addition; also the low-heat burner is very helpful in many things we do. We don't have to turn it on and off to maintain very low temps when needed, like marinating brats in beer.We read some reviews during our purchase decision time noting the black surface burner finish was "hard to clean". We'd comment thusly; yes, black shiny surfaces ARE harder to clean. Ever had a black car? But the contrast in the kitchen from white and stainless is refreshing, and there are numerous products available which clean this cooktop quickly and well. We sure wouldn't let that be a negative.The griddle is a nice touch especially since it mounts so securely in place. You can flip stuff with no worries it will head for the floor! We'd like to have had a new broiler pan which you didn't provide, but we salvaged the one from the old range so we're OK - just a word to the wise!

Great for price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Preheats fast, cooks very evenly. Love the flat cooktop grates. I wish the burners were spaced far enough apart for me to be able to put 4 pots/skillets/or pans on at once on the cooktop.

My 1st Gas Range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am learning how to cook all over again, but finding that I like the gas stove. I like the auto light features for the burners. I also like that it cleans up so much better than the tops of my electric stoves in the past. I have found I need to cook most everything on low or it burns including my favorite food popcorn. The oven works much the same but I don't like the gas smell when I am using the oven, the gas smells and does not go away, not sure if it needs to be adjusted or if that is just how gas ovens operate. I have not cleaned the oven to comment on that and I am getting the hang of the timer operation. I am curious how the broiler will work since it seems to be only down the center of the stove.

Not a good appliance

This has got to be the worst appliance I have ever bought. About 2/3 of the time the over will not light. My wife has become so mad at this stove. Local dealer says it has a know defect. Been 6 weeks and still no parts. Not sure who is worse, the dealer or whirlpool

Broiler did not work when delivered

Whirlpool sent a repair man within a week, it was a wire that never was attached at the factory. The grates are very heavy and must be removed after every time you cook in order to wipe the surface clean. So new, I don't know if I love it yet.

Perfect Features

We bought the oven and over the hood microwave last month. We found these to be the perfect mix of features at the right price point. Easy to use and clean, even for younger children in the family. Look very elegant and will fit in very well with our existing kitchen decor. The oven is not overloaded with unnecessary options, but at the same time has all that you want as a family cooking wholesome and delicious meals.

Sturdy!

I have only had the stove for a short time, but I like how sturdy it is and the ease of cleaning. The over is very large and will easily accommodate a large turkey and all the trimmings. It has 5 burners and the stove top is easy to keep clean due to the removable grates. I am very happy with my purchase.
