This oven was installed by the builder of our new home. I wish I could attach a recording of the noise it makes while running and for an extended amount of time while cooling long after turning this thing off. I've purchased a counter toaster oven just so I can use this thing as little as possible due to the whistling sound. Very unfortunate for a pricey appliance and want so bad to replace it with something that doesn't sound like a wind tunnel. Our guests at Thanksgiving even commented on how loud it was. Have to turn up the sound on TV when baking. :( disappointed

Good Oven but Noise is a problem

I have had this unit installed in my new kitchen about 6 months and it works well but the only downside is the cooling fan which runs from the time you set the unit on until about 25 minutes after it is shut off. The unit fan takes in air from the top and exhausts through the bottom. The intake sound is loud and emits a slight whistling noise which is not appropriate for open concept kitchens. Whirlpool serviceman and Head Office admit this is a design shortcoming to which they offer no solution or compensation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

27" steam clean oven

This is my second Whirlpool 27" Gold Series oven. The last one lasted 20 years and gave great service. This one is very stylish and cooks extremely fast. I would definetely buy it again.

Love it, no more burnt cookies!

This oven is great, accurate temperature, solid door with stainless vents ( not plastic) and the convection mode cooks everything evenly( no more burnt bottoms). The fan is relatively quiet and I love the giant see through window. Also a convenient feature is the automatic interior light which goes on as soon as the door is open. A good safety feature. Rated best by consumer reports and they were right.

This is the first convection oven I have owned and I love it. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and is a great addition to my kitchen. There are no cons to this appliance.

I have always wanted a Convection Oven, and I finally purchased this one, and I am glad I did, it is a great option to have for cooking. This was my final purchase of all new Whirlpool products for my remodeled kitchen and it fits in beautifully with all of the other products and matches the cherry cabinets. I read in other reviews where other people said this product was noisy, they must have superhero hearing, it does have a built in fan, but it is quiet.
I would recommend this to a friend!
