Great sound ... poor wifi

I bought this system to use at different locations around the house. The system had superb sound. The quality of e sound and variety of options.for connecting devices is what sold me on the system. However, the system wold not connect on an 802.11n network. Apparently the system is built for 802.11g and below. Unfortunately I'm looking for a quality system that I can keep for several years ansd stepping down my home wifi network to accommodate this one device is unacceptable. I returned the system in hopes that Samsung will invest the extra couple dollars in their future models and develop a system that can perform at least at the 802.11n level.
Pros: Durable, great sound, great variety of connections
Cons: no 802.11n connection ... only g and below
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great sound beautiful design

I bought this piece for my wife. So beyond sounding great the design had to look good in the bedroom and fitness room. We spent the Christmas holiday at her brothers house. This speaker was an instant hit with everyone. After opening the gift it was never turned off. Everyone connected wirelessly either thru galaxy note (2 and 3), different gen Iphones or Ipads. I am sure we will see one in other family members houses after this.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight, beautiful design, full bodied sound
Cons: no handle for portability, volume depends on source only
I would recommend this to a friend!

Upgraded
on January 23, 2014

I just upgraded from the 10 watt version which now sits on my desk at work and doubles as my computer speakers. The extra power (base and treble) is definitely worth the extra price alone. Adding more ways to connect to the dock is another bonus that I wasn't really needing but enjoying. Will definitely get use out of this. It now sits in my bedroom and is connected to my tv and serves as a really theatre system as well as a sound dock.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect Audio System
on June 16, 2014

These speakers sound great and the housing that holds them is very durable. The functions that are available work properly and as expected. I updated the speakers firmware as the manual explains how, and that worked without any problems. These speakers certainly do have a rich filling sound which I find lacking in most other audio systems regardless of size or price. If your looking for quality sound, durability and a multi-functioning audio deck, I would definitely recommend this one. I would have no problems purchasing the larger version with the Vacuum Tubes if I had the means, I would be very interested in knowing how much better they would sound. I also think, this system in White would be really awesome.
Pros: Durable, functions
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like this audio box, features are great, easy to sink and many options, just wished it was a bit more portable. Size does matter and to carry from room to room it's a bit big. Other than that it works great now after power was fixed.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Durable
Cons: Too big
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great concept | poor connectivity > hard to connect 'AirPlay'

Great sound experience, once you get it work!
My actual configuration: [purchased early Dec-2014 > finally installed ... January 2015]
- iMac and iTunes Ver12.x
- Router: Cisco DPC 3825 (ISP: shaw.ca > QoS = not reliable at all !!! drop outs)
- WiFi: 2.4MHz single band supports g/n standard
- LinkSys RE1000 range extender (manually configuration LAN cable = my recommendation)
Wifi range extension must provide 10feet/3m from one floor to the other (wood construction)
Initially I've tested the installation with the only Bluetooth capable model DA-E570 which worked great prior purchasing the more advanced DA-E670.
The DA-E670 would drop the Bluetooth signal frequently, unacceptable! (Bluetooth specifications might vary from manufacturer and its productions)
So I needed to setup in 'AirPlay' mode and different configurations to make it finally work.
- OK, Router > DA-E760 in WiFi mode works on the same floor (distance approx. 300feet/10m)
- NOK, Router > DA-E760 in WiFi mode won't work on the next floor (distance approx. 330feet/13m)
With Range Extender (RE1000 from LinkSys/Cisco)
- OK, RE1000 > DA-E760 in WiFi mode works on the next floor (distance approx. 300feet/10m)
Important:
- after configuring your devices, reboot each device to ensure it will work smoothly.
Working progress:
- checking Network quality 'QoS' (Provider, home network)
- check Range Extender functionality (RE1000 one faulty device was replaced)
- connect, configure and final tests (download the full manual and follow the given instructions)
- reboot the hole system and test it again
My background:
- sound engineer, musician
- computer engineer soft and hardware (operating systems: Linux, MacOS and Windows ...)
Final conclusion: if it works out of the box great, if not ... it's good to know a skilled friend or have an experienced supporting assistant. Connectivity not as easy as advertised ...
Pros: nice design great sound
Cons: Did not meet expectations, connectivity needs improvment
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
