I love smoothies. My family also loves smoothies. In fact I have lost well over 100 lbs thanks in part to smoothies. Smoothies have helped me relearn how and what to eat, and also with my cravings. Now the weight did not come off over night. It took a few years. But I have kept the weight off in my maintenance mode for over 1.5 years. I was using 3 different Ninja blenders for most of my weight loss smoothies. I really don't care for Ninja blenders. But I got the first one as a gift. A few problems with Ninja blenders. THey burn out quickly if you use them every day, especially if you use them for more than one person. #2, the big blender jar does not make smoothies. It makes chunkies, with lots of foam. I do not care for foam. So I had to use the individual size smoothie cups with my Ninja kitchen system. They make fairly blended smoothies, but would not fully blend seeds, and small coarse things. They also left plenty of roughage from spinach and kale. It was good enough, I guess. After burning out my third Ninja in 2 years, I decided to see what other options were available. Google brought me to the Blendtech and Vitamix world. After reviewing seemingly hundreds of hours of information, and videos, I settled on the Blendtech 625. It was the most attractive, properly sized, color coordinated machine for my discerning kitchen. I have absolutely not been disappointed. It looks beautiful in my counter. It fits under my upper cabinet. It makes family sized smoothies in under 2 minutes. A family sized smoothies in the Ninja system took 20 minutes. It required the use of 4 individual cups. It required a lot of planning, sorting and stuffing. It also only created partially completed smoothies. The 625 is a toss and go (in proper layers) smoothie making machine. Every smoothie has come out perfect. I can also now use apple cores for added flavor and nutrition. My kids eat a lot of apples. They like cut apples. We had been tossing the cores. Toss no more. We save the cores in a covered dish in the fridge. Squirt a little lemon juice for color saving. (also note lemon juice in a fruit smoothie gives the smoothie the Jolly Rancher effect. If you like Jolly Ranchers, that lemon bite in a smoothies is just what the Dr ordered). So I figure in 10 years the Blendtech could pay for it's self in apple cores. Not to mention the landfill savings. (yes you could compost, if you did not have my HOA hawking your back yard) I really like this blender. It is expensive. All good things are expensive. Some of those things are worth the cost. I think the Blendtech Designer 625 has a value that exceeds my purchase price. I can not often say that. I hope to buy the twister jar in the future and get in to making nut butters, ice creams, and doughs and such. I'll update my review when that happens. Maybe even with a video. This machine is so attractive I really think pictures and videos tell the best story. I think a key to sustained weightloss is to create healthy sustainable habits. Smoothies added nutrition in to my diet I was not getting when I was 326 lbs. That added nutrition replaced bad calories with good calories. It pulled me out of metabolic syndrome. It helped my efforts in weight loss to finally have lasting results. Real sustainable Weight loss is not a simple math problem. It is not a simple, calories in calories out, move more eat less problem. Real sustainable weight loss is a nutrition problem. Nutrition is , calories in, but it is also a systems control issue. Your metabolism is powered by food, hormones, and effort. Great nutrition will put your system in balance so that you can achieve real sustainable goals. Now you could just eat healthy foods and do the same thing. But after 33 years of trying, I failed miserably at least over the long run. So I needed a tool. Smoothies are my tool, and my Blendtech Designer 625 is my secret weapon. In my photos you will see me at 326 lbs. You will notice my sons who are 2 and 3. In the second photo I am 213 lbs, and the 3 year old is 10. The 2 year old is now 9 and he is in class (so he is missing from this photo) and we have another 3 year old (no he is not a clone of the 10 year old, though he is nearly identical) I started this weight loss journey in 2009 and went up and down until August of 2014 ( I discovered smoothies), when I finally hit my goal in early 2015 and have maintained since.

Ive had it for bout 3 weeks and WOW!!!!! Its everything i expected and more. I owned a RPM before this and it by far does better job, just hit smoothie button walk away and no worries a grear creamy smoothie everytime!!!
After going thru 2 traumatic surgeries, I embarked on a fitness journey to get my health and life back. This blender was a gift and a blessing. I love it so much I named him Steve. It deserves a name. It's too good to be anonymous lol. I use this blender every single day. I grind up protein powder and everything from hemp hearts, chia, flax to ice cubes in my smoothies and I don't have the chunks or griitiness like other blenders leave behind. It's pretty darn smooth. I've made almond milk, natural nut butters, ice treats and soup. I literally cud not live without Steve at this point.
i just bought this blender as a wedding gift for my son and new daughter in law. i have had the same blender for 2 years. you can make smoothies out of rocks and boards if you want. it turns everything into a creamy blend. i can't imagine there is a better blender available.

Love My Blendtec Designer Series Blender!

Received my Blendtec last month and absolutely love it! I have the combo Wildside & Fourside Jars which I often use together when I make large batches of either whole vegetable juices or fruit smoothies; I love the large 3 quart Wildside jar! The Blendtec does a superb job of making whole juices and smoothies - I haven't tried other things yet so I cannot leave a comment at this time. I've read other reviews complaining about how loud the Blendtec is but when I compare the noise level of the Blendtec to my old 10-speed blender I've been using, the Blendtec is quieter which I was pleased to discover. It may be a small thing to some, but I like the dull two-sided blade which allows for easy cleanup without the worry of catching a finger on a sharp blade; I use the pulse function with a bit of water and a drop of soap to clean the blender but I still like to take a dishcloth to the inside to give it a good cleaning prior to rinsing, so it's great not having to even think about a finger getting caught on a sharp blade. The Blendtec Designer Series is a beautiful looking blender with easy to use pre-set cycles and individual control of speed. I hope this blender meets my needs for years to come and that I don't end up having issues with the jar that others have mentioned. So far, I'm highly satisfied with my purchase.
I've had my Blendtec for about a month now and it's so much better than my old blender. I love everything about it, from how well it blends my daily green smoothies to how easy the Wildside jar is to clean. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new blender.
I have had my Blendtec for just over a month and use it multiple times a day, sometimes up to 6 or 7 times a day. Although it doesn't replace my food processor, and is on the noisy side, it is indispensable for many of my recipes and definitely blends smoother than a regular blender. If you make smoothies, nut milks, nut cheeses it is a must. Totally worth the investment.
