We hoped that this purchase would resolve our blender/smoothie issues- we're still uncertain about that however- we returned the first unit because it overheated on a third batch of smoothies late in the summer. The replacement hasn't yet been fully tested and sometimes has an electrical smell, but hopefully the Blendtec warranty will still our concerns.
I bought the Blendtec about 30 days ago. Not all its cracked up to be. It works ok. Nothing special. Not like on the videos.if the fruit is frozen it takes alot of mixing with a spoon to get fruit to dissolve. The blade never seems to grab the frozen fruit or ice. We add liquid to help it out but than it becomes to watery. Would not recommend porchasing this product
Love the blender in most aspects. The design of the main container "flows" the contents back onto blades for great mixture. The blade is heavy duty thick compared to other blenders. Super easy to clean because its wide at the bottom and sealed so you never get the grossness around conventional rubber gasket ones. Displays are great with touch screen (no mess around button).
Notes* loud, vibratING kind of noise. if there's liquid on touch screen at all you have to wipe off (not big deal) or it won't respond.
I bought this blender about a month ago. I haven't had much of a chance to try a lot in it, but what I have so far has been beyond my expectations. I was making due with my older blender (which was still in great condition) but it could never really get things as smooth as the Blendtec. I have made some of the smoothest cashew cream ever and my frozen banana smoothies have come out so thick and delicious. I blended pineapple in here one day and I could not find one fiber from it. Everything was blended into a smooth, thick pineapple smoothie. It was so yummy.
If there is one thing I can say, the consistency in which things are blended is amazing. It took me a few years but it is so worth the investment for me. I can't wait till summer when I there are more fruits & veggies available and really give it a good workout.
This is a very powerful blender. It is able to make the best smoothies. I have also made cold soups and mixed muffin batter. I have the smaller chopper and it does an amazing job as well on carrots, nuts and harder foods. It is a little time consuming to clean and sometimes I feel like half of the contents are still on the side of the container. If using frozen foods in your smoothie hold on to the lid. The first time I made a smoothie it shot the lid right off the blender and the contents everywhere that is how powerful this blender is. I am very pleased with my purchase and am learning more about my blender every time I use it and try a different setting. I have not tried the hot soup setting yet. Overall a very good product.
I got a Blendtec Designer 625 few months ago and I'm very satisfied with it. I had a Vitamix before, but for sure I prefer the Blendtec instead. Easy to use and to clean, less noisy and the availability of smaller jars are perfect for single serve preparations!! I only have few complaints about it: the additional jars (twister jar /mini twister jar / personal wildside jar) are insanely expensive!! Making nut butters it's a little messy as before turning into butter, the nuts become flour and some will fly out of the twister jar. I'm looking forward to get the personal Wildside jar to try it. On an overall, I'm really, REALLY satisfied and definitely would recommend this blender for anyone looking for a powerful machine, especially after trying a Vitamix!
Does a great job of crushing ice and no more seed from fruits in smoothies . The only thing , I wish was that the power light did not stay on at all time , have to unplug unit after use , hate that parasitic hydro draw .
it has been few months now since i bough my Blendtec 625 and I most pleased with the texture of my smothies! They come out so smooth no matter what i put in there. I also make soup with my blendtec and they come out perfect. I am very happy with my new blender
