If this tells you anything, I'm kind of couch surfing while I look for a new place and I take this blender with me everywhere!!! I spent years jonesing for a VitaMix, then read Blend-Tec is better. So I spent another few years jonesing for a Blend-Tec, hut didn't think my needs justified the price. WRONG. Well first of all I'm a huge fan of green juice (NOT smoothies, juice) so I wanted a machine that would really pulverize the heck out of the greens. This one does. You could probably go to a higher model and do it faster but this one is fine and I wasn't willing to spend more. I am now Team Blend-Tec. The service has been OUTSTANDING. I monopolized thier customer service on more than one occasion asking a zillion questions about which model to buy, and they have been nothing but enthusiastic and patient. I do kind of wish I'd gone for one of the cool colors but until I'm settled in my own home, I think the gray was the best choice. This thing is super easy to use and clean. DEFINITELY if you can -- and they offer payment plan -- go for the highest model you can afford (but talk to customer service, they won't upsell you) because I had previously gone to Bed Bath And Beyond and walked out with a model that was wrong for me. It hip-hopped all over the counter, didn't pulverize the greens, scared the daylights out of me with the noise and went back the next day. This model was loud in the way blenders were loud (I mean, go to any juice bar, Jamba Juice, milk shake stand, etc and find me a "quiet" blender) but not overwhelmingly so. The fast motor means the noise won't last forever. I was holding the lid in place out of habit until I realized I could literally throw stuff in and walk away. So that's what I did. I threw stuff in and walked away for 60 seconds and it was done. I am growing my own greens in window boxes and I can say from experience this will save a fortune. But a $15 investment on organic greens last week will yield at least 10 servings of green juice, and you can't beat that. I am so happy I treated myself to this!

I loved our previous blend tec. The day I realized I needed a new one I couldn't wait. My husband thought about Bed Bath Beyond. I never thought about them carrying the Blend Tec. We called and went over that very day. I love this one even more.

This blender really delivers, the smoothest smoothies. I had purchased a Ninja blender with Auto IQ, and was so unhappy with my green smoothies being too chunky. After 2 weeks of frustration, I boxed it up and returned it. My research then led me to both Blendtec and Vitamix. I chose the Blendtec as it fits under my cupboards nicely. I did have a problem with the white coloured lid staining right away when I made the tortilla soup recipe that came with the blender. I called Blendtec and they sent me a black lid at my request and also a new white lid, all under warranty and shipped directly to my door at no cost to me. That's what I call excellent customer service.
I use my blender daily and it never fails to deliver. I bought the larger sized twister jar and just love it for small servings. I also use it almost daily.
Overall, I couldn't be happier.
