This time I wanted to increase the ABV % and asked for the additional booster packets (+2%)and a LME kit (+1%). I used spring water in my brew. I used a hop plant from my garden at 2 cups/ LBK size container. I brewed for the full 3 weeks and bottled for 3 weeks. Guests said the beer was excellent and tasted like a stout Sam Adams Boston Lager.
Bought this beer to enjoy with pizza and chips, it was very good.

Fermented for two weeks and ready for next step. Bottled half and mini kegeratored the rest with a force carb to try it. Got comments on taste of Paps blue similarity and feel. Over all more than I expected. Good job
Just started the brewing process. Will know what the taste is in 4 weeks. T he other 3 brewings have been great.

I received my My Beer kit Christmas morning. It was the American Lager. I have to admit, I wasn’t terribly excited about getting this as a gift. Seemed a little to generic for me, but I put on a happy face for my wife and kids. Last thing I wanted to do was make them feel disappointed. I had never heard of Mr Beer. I knew you could buy home kits, but never took them seriously. I spent the rest of the day on YouTube to see if it would be worth messing with. So, like so many others, 12/26 was brew day. I completely followed the instructions to a T. No variations. I fermented for 3 weeks and carbonated for another 3 weeks. I had no bottles at all. I had some 12 oz Diet Coke bottles that I started to save for bottling day. I also used some 2 liter Sprite bottles. During these six weeks I spent more time researching homebrewing and Mr Beer. After the 3 week carbonation period, I moved my bottles to the fridge for conditioning. I couldn’t wait any longer. I had to give it a try. The next day I opened my first bottle of my first home brew. I wasn’t blown away. It was just ok. Not much of a head and just an average beer at best. Patience was a common theme I keep hearing on YouTube, so I tried another bottle a week later. Oh yeah!!! It was wonderful!! Nice head. Great taste!! Much better than the Miller Lite I have in the fridge. Excited to share some brews with family and friends. I’ll be bottling the Nut Brown Ale this weekend and starting my Irish Stout right after. Needless to say, I’m hooked and I’m incredibly grateful for my Christmas present.

I did this beer for the first time . One word PERFECT
I have now sampled 3 bottled of my American Lager Brew. It may not be the best I have brewed, but it is right at the top of the list. It is too hot to brew in AZ during the summer, but I will be back at the home brewery this fall. I currently have 4 brews in the beer fridge and 2 more carbonating for my 2 month trip starting June7.
