This is one of the beers that came with my beer kit. It was my first brew with the kit and came out pretty well. Good enough for me to try other recipes.

Great tasting beer

Have made this several times and it's always came out good.nothing fancy just a good after work beer. 3 weeks in lbk and 3 week carb/condition then to the fridge comes out awesome. Smooths out the long you age itif you can wait.

I had a problem with some of my bottles not sealing. Mr Beer concluded I must have got a bad batch of bottles, They sent me a new case of bottles and the beer refill kit I had used at no cost to me!

Standard American Lager - done traditionally!

A quality lager with a refreshing taste. The only change I made to this was to ferment this using Saflager S-23 Dry Lager Yeast, rather than the included yeast. I kept the fermenter in my 'fridge @ 55deg F, using a temperature controller (the same one as on the Mr.Beer website). The wife and I bottled this in glass 12 oz items, rather than using my usual Mr. Beer plastic. I also kept the bottles in the same 'fridge under the same conditions.
The first try about 2 weeks lagering - not quite what I hoped for, so I gave it another couple weeks: wow.... What a difference some conditioning time makes! The longer you are willing to let it wait, the better the beer it. Wife LOVED, and even though I'm not a plain 'ole lager fan, I'll say it's pretty darn good.
I'll definitely make this again. Might even try substituting the booser with some LME. :)
Definitely worth the effort!

I WISH THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A 5GAL RECEPE! I am sort of new at brewing but this was the very best beer i have ever made! Very easy to make. The pre-hoped extract is great. I will be getting more of this soon!
