My beer of preference is IPA and Diablo lacked sufficient hops to give it the kick I like in a good IPA. The hops taste was there but did not come up to my expectations of what an IPA should taste like. Otherwise it made an excellent beer, good carbonation, alcohol content.perfect and great taste.

Was given a kit as a gift and promptly brewed it up. I purchased some additional hops to dry-hop it as well after reading around. Overall - pretty good; only complaint is there's a lot of flavor straight up but not much on the back-end. But then I'm a beginner, I'll just have to practice!

Awesome first brew

I received this refill and kit as a birthday gift to start my brewing addiction off... What a way to start! The instructions are easy to follow and the taste is way better than I had expected for what other people call a "simple" home brew. I added a booster pack and the ABV is around 6.5%. I've only just bottled it but the pre-bottling taster was delicious. I can not wait to see how it matures during carbonation and experimenting with all of the other refills and modifications.

Solid IPA

I fermented for 5 weeks and bottled at 3, it turned out really well. I wish it would've been a little hoppier, but it tastes like a standard tasty IPA. This was the first brew that I used table sugar instead of the carbo drops to carbonate, and it was the best carbonation level and head I've brewed so far.
