This beer came with my LBK kit (Christmas gift). I was somewhat disappointed. Followed the directions exactly using the Mr Beer carbonation drops. Opened/drank the first bottle today. There was little to no head. (minus 1 star). Flavor was very bitter. If you really like bitter beer, this is for you. But, not for me. (minus second star)

Good Base for Experimenting

First time I used this awhile back I thought it was ok, nothing special. I tried again, but this time I dry-hopped 2 oz. Mosaic hops and 2 oz. Citra hops. I have to say the result was as great, good an IPA as what you can get at a craft brewery. I plan to experiment with other hop varieties in the future. Try it!

I have brewed three batches of Diablo and they are party favorites. Neighbors continue to ask for more. Easy to make.

I have brewed this recipe three times. A very tasty recipe on it's own. The second time I added a half ounce of Cascade hops, kicked it up a notch. This time I added a full ounce of Centennial hops, WOW!! Rivals (beats, in my opinion) available craft/microbrew offerings. If you love hoppy beers, this is for you. Don't be afraid to experiment with added hops. Each batch gets better, and better, and better...

This was my very first IPA I ever brewed, and it came out fantastic! I added an LME Softpak and some FF7C's hops to make what I called One Helluva IPA. It was delicious enough that I went through them quickly. Luckily, I gave one to a buddy that held onto it for a few weeks and he shared it with me. It was better at 5 weeks than it was at 2 - something to remember if I make it again!
