Our new 51" tv

What can I say about this tv? It is AWESOME! The only gripe I have is the menu. Its like running Windows XP on a computer with a small processor and little memory. Its just slow and unresponsive. Picture quality is outstanding. Sound is better than expected. Overall, i am pleased.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: menu too slow
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung's "plus-one" with smaller bezels look great. Picture is amazing, and plasma's really are the most beautiful, natural picture. Not Energy Star qualified and it gets a little hot so we give it plenty of room to breath. I've read that people don't like the internal speakers but any HDTV should be routed through a receiver - you can't expect great sound out of speakers small enough to fit inside a flat panel.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

not what i expected from samsung

I have had this tv for 7 month and it has gone up already. While watching one night the tv started making a whole bunch of clicking noises and than turned off. Will not turn back on now. thank goodness its still under warranty, but im still not happy. Called samsung and they are sending a service tech out to look at it. Reading different forums around the internet I am not the only one who has had this problem

Cons: stopped working after 7 months

great tv for price, would have been nice if it had wifi atleast for updating the firmware, speakers sound a little on the cheap side but i turn them off and used my sorround, but all in all not many complaints. the picture is great and the slim design makes it look really nice. i would recomend based on quality for price.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: needs usb flash drive to update

Good Product, but prefer the 2010 model

Overall, this is a very nice television with a great picture. However, I own a 50" 2010 model (550) that I purchased for the same price, and that television has more input ports and more features. I think it is a good purchase, but was not as impressed with this model as the previous one. In fact, I felt I paid the same price for less, which seems to go against the trend in electronics. If I did not own the previous model then I would probably be more satisfied with this one.

Cons: Did not meet expectations, limited input ports

Excellent performance & value, without the costly non-critical extras

This TV has been a great buy for us and our second Samsung Plasma in the last 5 years. The 1080p picture is capable of standing out in bright rooms, with the full range of color depth visible in the "Movie" modes. All around excellent buy for those looking for a top of the line 1080p Plasma TV without 3D or built-in internet, etc.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, no motion pixelation
Cons: missing "extra" features

The picture is fantastic. That's why I bought it. The base is horrible. There is a small base with a single vertical support and the whole tv wobbles around on the tiny support. My tv actually leans to one side as if one side is heavier than the other and the small base is straining to even hold the screen up. I am sure one morning I will wake up to find it laying in the floor. When we move soon, I am going to hang it on the wall. The supplied base is pathetic. Also the remove channel process is too complicated. You have to reenter the menu over and over for each channel you want to remove. You should be able to scroll through the channels and simply mark them one by one to keep or delete. But.... once you fuddle your way though it once, you don't have to mess with it again. So overall, its a fantastic picture and pretty good sound.

Cons: poorly designed flimsy base

I have had this tv since February of this year and have had no issues the tv is amazing, The screen clarity is excellent and it is the the perfect size for our house. Only suggestion I would have is that it is impossible to find closed caption in the tv menu itself. Samsung has made a lifetime customer out of me.
