Simple Large Fire Pit

My fiance` and I love this fire pit, it is actually the second we've gotten, the first being 6 years ago (not this exact model), the only thing we don't/didn't like is that once most of it is assembled, the spark shield has to be slightly bent back into a circle, also the door itself still needs to be bent a little to get it to close uniformly and flush to the rest of the spark shield.
Lastly, the lid took a bit of doing to get it to sit completely flush and even, I assume this has to do with the spark shield as well.

I bought this fire pit to eliminate sparks and it does a good job. A little hard to make some of the pieces fit.

Disappointing Quality

I received the Bessemer patio fireplace as a Christmas gift. While assembling the fireplace, the lack of quality was obvious. And some of the instructions are just plain confusing. ( EXAMPLE, Why would the unit have a "AIR VENT" on the bottom, when instructions say to "fill" the bottom with several pounds of sand? ) I hope to get a couple years use out of it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
