My family bought me one of these for Father's Day in the Summer of 2002. I kept the bottom lined with play sand to protect the bottom from heat. The front handle finally rested off after 18 years. I bought 2 new ones a couple months ago. One for me and one for my daughter who got married last month as an additional wedding gift. Many cozy fires in their future for sure.

I assembled it with no problems, except I needed one more lock washer than was supplied. As others have stated, the trick to getting the screen to fit properly appears to be leaving the bolts a bit loose and snugging them up after the screen is in place. We are looking forward to many evenings by the fire in the back yard!

I just purchased and assembled my new fireplace. Went together well, only needed 2 tools, and had it lit up in just over an hour. Looks good, worked well.

We have had fire pits like this before. For the most part this is a better design. The price was excellent. The only issue I have is with the latch on the access door. It doesn't line up tightly. Regardless, we bought two of them and are very happy.

Good fire pit. Instructions for assembly are a bit unclear at times, but with some effort you can figure it out. The nuts provided for the wheels are hard to thread to the axle...otherwise i'd give 5 out of 5 stars.
