Great Fireplace for outdoor entertainment

We bought this fireplace so we would be able to have family/friends over to visit in our driveway (6 feet apart) during the COVID-19 pandemic. We absolutely love it! Love that it has wheels and makes it easy to move around. All our neighbors have commented on our driveway fires!

We purchased this to replace an old one that we had. We have had it for about one month and it has been a great replacement. My kids were able to assemble it!

Christmas present from one of my boys. Assembly took a little over an hour. All parts needed were conveniently packaged. Only problem was making the side cage fit the base. The cage is oval when assembled while the base is round, l

This is an Easy to Assembly Patio Fireplace

I was pleasantly surprised how good the instructions were. They were easy to follow with step by step instructions and illustrations. The instructions also indicated exactly what screws, nuts, etc I need for each step.
I haven't used it yet but this is very sturdy and well made. The wheels are very good as well as all the materials used in the manufacture of this patio fireplace
I am very happy with this purchase and I am very happy that I was able to put it together myself!

I no longer have to take my yard waste to the recycle center wasting gasoline, I just burn it a little at a time. Assembly directions do not match finished picture on box. Lid and basket out of round with base but overall great little 'pit.'

I had a USA made model similar to this one years ago that I gave to my neighbor when I moved. Then, as now, I wanted a patio fire place that I could use the lid to cover the fire bowl and extinguish the fire instead of using water.
This Bessemer 28-inch Fire Sense was made in China and I immediately noticed the thickness/weight of the materials in comparison to my old unit. However, as some have already mentioned, the key to ease of use and longevity with the Fire Sense is to toss the thin, cheap grate, close the air vent and fill with sand to the grate ledge level inside the bowl.
This model uses a flimsy screen assembly that actually bolts to the bowl (in two places) for rigidity. I can see some folks having slight difficulties who want to use the screen but have the option to remove it and use the lid to extinguish the fire.
My advice would be to assemble the unit using the supplied hardware only hand tight, and then use tools to snug them all up. All in all, I'll rate this unit a 3 because of the flimsy screen and the fact that it has to be secured to the bowl for rigidity. As for the folks who whine about their "wheels catching on fire and melting", well, they didn't read the instructions that state "keep the vent closed when the fire bowl is in use".
For me, it's a decent outdoor porcelain fireplace at a decent price using sand in the bowl and no screen for easy extinguishing; and I don't have to worry about the wind blowing it away, either!
