I purchased the OXO Soft-Handled Can Opener for a practical part of their Christmas presents. They've recently set off on their own.
I've owned the OXO Soft-Handled Can Opener, along with other OXO kitchen tools, for years and I love their comfortable ease of use, effectiveness and durability.

The best can opener ever!

Poor design change from earlier model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still a good can opener but the redesign of the wonderful oversized handles is a major disappointment. OXO has made them less chunky and changed the direction of the handle making them less ergonomic. We love OXO products are can’t understand why an excellent design was changed except to save money.

The Only Can Opener You Need

Has lasted awhile, so very durable as long as it’s well taken care of. Easy to clean and overall a comfortable, basic can opener built to last. Although there’s nothing fancy to it, makes it more durable. Have had mine for a couple of years and it’s still working well.
