4 years, 2 service calls and I have to replace

I absolutely loved this machine until about a year ago. It started making sounds and the belt had to be replaced five months ago. The technician noted the cement (?) part at the top of the drum is cracked. How the heck does that happened??? Five moths later my machine is loud again and the bearing is seizing. A few more hundred???? I think not. Disappointed in this GE product. Seems to hit a certain point and falls apart. I did have the ge tech come out prior to the one year warranty expiring but can’t remember what for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sounds like a helicopter on the spin cycle and vibrates the whole house. Put rubber pads under the feet and a pad under the washer and releveled the washer multiple times. Got a new motor and springs. Still have to straighten all the pictures on the wall and turn the TV up 15 levels when washer is on.

3 1/2 years and the tub is broken.

This machine has been great for 3.5 years, but now the drum is broken. The repair estimate is almost as much as a new machine. 3-4 years on a new machine, seems like way too early to have a major problem. Apparently, the GE warranty is only good for one year. We have a matching dryer and now a new washer won't match. Can not recommend.

We find that this uses less water, does a great job cleaning our clothes and the sanitize cycle is great to keep the machine from smelling poorly. Definitely recommended.

I have been buying the same machine for the last eight years. this machine will only last for 4 years. I have already gone thru 2 machines in eight years.
