Noisy, failing after 5 years

Bought this almost exactly 5 years ago. Rubber seal is failing and is now vibrating and smelling like burning rubber. I am currently looking at a replacement and not a GE product. These washer and dryers have made loud noises since we have had them. Although they cleaned clothes good, the clean out was a pain to use and it is also failing at the gasket. Replacing parts will cost more than a new washer. Im going back to the brand I had before these, another 2 letter brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had it for 5 years and doesn’t work anymore! Not acceptable for such a nice brand! They don’t even offer replacement parts anymore!

Had it for 5 years and it’s already broken, and manufacturer doesn’t even make the repair parts anymore, would not recommend this product to anyone!

poor quality

we have only had the washer for four months and already calling in the second repair. Specs stated quiet and low vibration unit but, it is sooooo, loud that it is only fit to be placed outside of the home in a garage or separate building. The service tech informed me that the first failure was from lint the size of a quarter stopped up the drain and shut the unit off. This is clearly a design flaw if this occurred within a 45 days of installation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Larger basket is good. Noisey machine, not so good

We've had this washer for a little while now. And we are happy due to the large basket. We can wash a lot more clothes at a time. But the negative side is that is much louder than our previous washer same make.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Tumbler issues during drain spin

The balancing feature doesn't work. Tumbler is out of balance during spin. It happens during light loads as well as heavy loads. Washer is seated properly in the floor with solid base.

This machine should never be put in an upstairs utility room,
the spin cycle will make you leave home.
Also, the tumbler has sharp burrs inside the has snagged and ruined several garments.
I will be getting rid of this unit as quickly as possible to save my clothes.
