DOES NOT COVER 27" OPENING

I only bought GE because I wanted slate... Boy was that a mistake! I bought PEB7226EHES (microwave) and THIS trim kit for my 27" opening. The [way overpriced] piece of plastic trim is only 26 3/4" wide, so the "built in" look GE promises, is a lie. I have an entire kitchen full of slate appliances with ZERO options for an actual "built in" look for my microwave - in my beautiful new construction home. DO NOT BUY GE for slate because you can't get any other brand to match! I wish I had bought any other brand in black stainless - at least then I would have options. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!
A person buys a 27" trim kit for a 27" opening expecting the trim kit to cover the opening...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
