Our Quiet Dishwasher

The quiet cleaning power or our Electrolux is fabulous. Once you shut the door and turn it on you forget that it's running.

The best dishwasher

I love my dishwasher! It is so quiet! I used to have a dishwasher that was so loud. I can watch tv in my family room that is next to my kitchen while the dishwasher is running and I don't hear it! It is wonderful! It does such a great job cleaning my dishes. I just love it!

I did a kitchen remodel about 1-1/2 yrs ago. I purchased all new applicances and found that it was impossible to get all pieces in 1 manufacturer's line of products. I chose the Electrolux dishwasher because the look most closely matched that of the other applicances and based on the salesperson and some reviews I found.
I am pretty pleased with the unit. It is extremely quiet you really don't know it is running. I have had an intermittent problem with an odor in the unit. I have had service techs out and am not sure if it is the unit or plumbing issues. The major complaint is service availablity. Tech's are very limited in my area so if you are not in a major city you might want to check that out before you purchase. I also did not purchase with the screen on the front to let you know when the load was finished and it is very hard to tell when it is done.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

OVERALL A VERY QUIET MACHINE BUT HAS BEEN INSTALLED FOR JUST OVER A YEAR AND IT HAS BROKEN DOWN SEVERAL TIMES. I HAVE HAD REPAIR PEOPLE OUT TO REPLACE THE MAIN PUMP THEN IT THE SECOND TIME THEY HAD TO REPLACE A TEMP. SENSOR AND NOW IT IS SHOWING A NEW ERROR CODE AND I HAVE TO HAVE THEM OUT FOR THE 3RD TIME. I YOU BUY THIS MACHINE I SUGGEST YOU BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY YOU WILL NEED IT.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We just remodeled our kitchen in the fall of 2010. We are very happy with all three of our Electrolux appliances ! This dishwasher is super quiet! Hard to tell if it is running unless you are listening for it --by standing right in front of it ! Great feature! It's also nice not having any buttons on the outside for little fingers to play with them !!

Amazing machine

This dishwasher is amazing. I was told it was quiet, but the first time I used it, I thought it wasn't working. I was ready to call and complain. Then I put my ear against the door and heard a slight humming. Not only is it quiet, but it also cleans. I've always "precleaned" dishes prior to loading them in my previous dishwasher. Not with this washer! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality dishwasher.

not so hot

As far as design and how quiet the DW is, I would give it top ratings, unbelievably quiet. As far as cleaning dishes not so much, I have tried a variety of different soaps and jet dry products, only to be disappointed with the cleaning. I have even raised my water temperature in my house to 135 degrease and checked to make sure the water temp is high enough with a laser thermometer inside the DW. I would prefer the DW to be louder and actually clean dishes, I can hardly tell if the thing is running it is so quiet. I have to be very careful how much soap I use, 1 tablespoon is it, anything more and I have a white film on everything. Even after making sure there is nothing blocking the soap area I always have soap residue around the soap dispenser. The hotter water has helped and I run the DW on the heaviest cycle with sanitize, and I still have to pick stuff off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth the price

This dishwasher is very quiet, but this is it's best feature.
The gasket that seals the door gets pulled out of position when the lower basket is slid out. The stainless steel front panel has water streaks on it and they cannot be cleaned off even with stainless steel cleaner.
This dishwasher is not as good as other brands that I have owned and they cost half as much.
This is an average dishwasher a premium price.
