Suggestions for improvements

We like the dishwasher overall. However, now that we have been using it in our opinion we see things that would improve it. The bottom rack has quite a wide grid pattern on the "floor" of it so when the top tray is full and we need to put cups or cereal bowls in the bottom tray they do not sit flat and tip over or go down through the rack. A smaller grid pattern would make it more versatile. Also the upright tines are really close together in the back half of the bottom rack making it difficult to use them for plates. We do like the large silverware basket and there is a lot of height available with each rack. Another problem we have been having is with the detergent cup….at times it does not empty of either the granulated detergent or the tablet detergent. We have tried using both types. We have been taking extra care with watching how the rack is loaded that is near the detergent cup. Most of the time now the detergent is completely washing out of it. But it does seem very sensitive. Also it seems that taking two hours or more to run one load is excessive. Perhaps we should try using the Fast Wash cycle as we do pre-rinse the dishes. Also would be nice to see how much time the cycle will take and how far along it is in the cycle. Thank you.

Over all this is a good machine. Very quiet. The racks seem to be a bit flimsy, however, they function as well as can be expected. We did have a repair issue but that was because of, wait for it, MICE. They ate away at the float device under the machine. So the machine thought it needed to run the drain function continuously. It was replaced without cost. We covered every possible hole and run around the machine and now no problem. Coincidentally we found ways to mouse proof the house and now now problems. So this machine is doubly protected. I am sure this is TMI. But a good story.

Do not buy

This appliance looks like it had all of the bells and whistles but upon two weeks of operation the entire control board went out. We have now dealt with multiple technicians and the replacement part is on back order. Very frustrated.

Excellent wash results!

This is our second Electrolux dishwasher. It is the EI24ID30Q. Due to owning a prior equivalent model, we can see the improvements and are extrememly pleased with the dishwasher. The only thing slightly negative is that it is a little bit not as quiet as the last model, but is still very quiet. for a dishwasher. The improvements are: The dishes, especially the glassware, come out consistently cleaner. We think is because of the new design of the lower washer arm that covers the washable area much better. Also, the upper arm has a better way of attaching itself to the vertical supply conduit. This is where the upper arm slides into the supply conduit each time the upper basket is slid back in. Thus the water flow is stronger and more reliable. Also the new dishwasher has a special fitting that will shoot a steam of water directly into a glass or bottle if desired. The two main essentials to us are: Do the dishes & glasses come out consistently clean = Yes; Is the dishwasher quiet = Yes.

Looks and feals cheap.

The appliance feels and looks pretty cheap. Also, after only using it ~10 times it completely quit on me. They are currently replacing 2 different things, but have to wait on them to be ordered. On a positive note, it does get my dishes very clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Troublesome touch controls

Some touch controls have no feedback in the form of a light or an acoustic beep.
That's why you can never be sure whether the dishwasher will do the required program - or not.
Also, it is hard to fully open the door, so the bottom rack will not roll out easily.
The dishwasher is doing its job, but the afore mentioned issues are a constant nuisance.

very pleased with this product. It works well and is quiet which was important to my wife. Dishes come out clean every time and we don't even notice that it is running unless standing right next to it.
