Who screwed up the batteries? What should I change

I have so many dewalt tools that I had to change batteries to the 20v 2AH and the batteries go dead unused connected to my device! (Dw988 drill) I hate changing them all out. Any ideas on a better system?

Light Weight, Work Great

Bought a set to augment a set of 1.5ah that came with my dw885. I prefer light weight over power duration when I'm driving screws during building, and the 2ah give me both. Having four batteries allows me to just keep swapping, usually getting me through a day of deck building without recharging.
I'd suggest checking the date codes on batteries purchased online. My 1.5s are dated 2014 and work fine after four years of frequent use, with a slight dip in duration. I know others who have bought tools online and their batteries have been several years old and had shorter duration.

I bought a tool set that came with two batteries. One of the batteries works well enough for about 10 minutes. The other completely burned out within a month of having it. It won't even charge now. To say that I am disappointed with my purchase does not even begin to express my feelings.

If DeWalt can't make a better battery, they should stop making the battery tools.
