This fan has been running silent and true since the day we moved into our new custom home. I have other hunter fans inside and out and they have done the same. This Original is on a 48" down rod in our living room and everyone asks about it. I may have checked the oil once or twice. We are looking for a new light kit for it.

This is the quietest fan on the market. The only cosmetic issue is that it is mounted on a sloped ceiling and the cover at the top of the downrod does not tilt. There is a gap on the high side.

I installed seven white 52” Original fans in 1996. Over 20 years of quiet reliable operation. I just replaced the blades on the fans installed on the lanai. I have been using the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to keep the blades clean. The Interior fans still look new and are quiet.

Best Fans Ever

I installed 7 Hunter Originals in my home 20 years ago and they are still running smooth and quietly today. Living in Florida they are only stopped for cleaning and run 24/7/365. I check the oil every 5 years or so and have never had to add oil. They move more air than a typical fan. I can only keep them on low or medium speed (high speed blows everything off the tables and counters!). They are worth every penny.

I have 7 of these fans. Two in a covered patio and 5 in my house.
They have been used every day for 29 years.
One failed and was reply under warranty.
They are good looking, efficient, and built solidly.

In my 30 years of home ownership Hunter Original fans are the only ceiling fans I have installed. And I have never had one fail. I changed oil in my fans once in those thirty years. This fan creates more air flow than any other fan I've seen. The Hunter Original will cost you, but you'll have a classic design in a cast iron housing that will last you the life of your home.
