Hi there, we truly appreciate you choosing this gas dryer for your home and are sorry to hear that you're disappointed in the lint filter and are having issues with excessive lint. We apologize for the inconvenience and would love to offer you some tips in this. The up-front dryer lint filter is conveniently located in the front of the dryer and is easy to remove for easy cleaning. It should be cleaned after each dryer load and you can find tips on maintaining it on page 8 of your Use and Care Manual, seen here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90550-3.PDF.
We would also encourage you to review the causes of excessive lint or residue on clothes and things you can check to reduce this within the troubleshooting guide on page 10 of your manual. We sincerely hope that this helps to improve your experience. Thanks for taking the time to share your review! -Eliza@Hotpoint
We love this dryer and the auto dryer settings. Just set it to the amount drying you want and come back when it buzzes and the lint catcher is real easy to remove the lint on.
