Hello- We appreciate you taking the time to share your review. We are so sorry that you are having this issue. Your model has a "fixed" signal and the volume cannot be adjusted. It will buzz automatically at the end of the cycle and once the timer moves to the OFF position, it will automatically shut off. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

In regards to the dryer not getting very hot, we recommend making sure your venting is good. Take a look at the following link:

Also you will want to make sure you have the right timer selection, fabric setting, and temperature selection. The timer should be set to dry and not fluff. Move timer pointer to mid-range selection. Make sure front of dryer is not blocked; air flow is needed to dry. Dryer should be on a separate 120 volt outlet. Make sure the gas line has been turned on for new installations. If the gas line is turned on and the unit runs, but it still does not heat, contact service. GE Consumer Service can be reached by calling 1-800-432-2737. We hope this is resolved for you soon. We can understand your desire to reduce the signal volume, however your model has a "fixed" signal and the volume cannot be adjusted.
