I love the ease of loading and unloading this dryer. Also the lint filter is easy to clean and in a great location. GREAT VALUE!

Hung out to dry

Roughly 5 or so months ago, my wife and I bought the matching Hotpoint washing machine only because we didn't like the fancy Maytag washer (no agitator) in our home and so far, we are very pleased with it. Our GE Profille dryer had recently gotten very noisy and we figured it had done it's time and needed to be replaced so we bought this dryer. I sure hope it starts to quiet down because for a dryer, it shouldn't sound jus' like the washing machine! Our entire kitchen in our new home is furnished with GE appliances and we don't care for the stove, refrigerator or the microwave (the dishwasher does not get used). When it's time to replace any of these items, they will not be wearinng a GE logo.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
