What a POC. I wish I would have purchased anything else. I will never buy another Hotpoint product for as long as I walk this earth.

Good basic washer.

I have had this washer for about 3 years now and it has held up very well. The only issue there is with it is that it will get off balance very easily, you must put all your heavy items in first and then the lighter ones.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Water only goes up a half of tank. It stays unbalanced during the spin! It’s broken every year since I have had it.!

Hello- We are so sorry to hear you've had this experience. All new washing machines manufactured today must meet Federal energy guidelines regarding the amount of water they can use. Broken more than it works

We have only had this washer a couple of years. We have had to repair it several times. We’ve spent almost as much on repairs as we did on the washer and it is currently broken again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible balance issue to cancel spin

Have to wash small loads on high water level to accommodate balance problems have to manually wring clothes and towels to lessen weight to maybe accept spin cycle

Hello - Thanks for the review. We're very sorry for the trouble you're having with your washer and that you're having to wring your clothes by hand. We can totally understand how much of a headache that must be and we sincerely apologize.

Lower than normal spin speed/wet cloths can be a result of oversudsing. Oversudsing from too much detergent may slow down the final spin cycle, causing a suds lock. The use of HE detergent will decrease the chance of suds lock; use HE detergent only and be sure to use the recommended measured amount.
