Purchased it because of price and hoped it would not be high efficiency!! The other problem we found out later - was that you CANNOT add fabric softener to a "normal" wash! - you need a washer with a "special rinse" cycle!! - huh?? We realized later we had a work around - forcing the washer to do another "wash" - with fabric softener - thus I am ok with the washer!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using this over 2 months now. Other reviews commented that it was loud but I am not finding that it is noisy at all. It takes some getting used to as it is stream lined & does not have a lot of bells & whistles but it is a dependable machine & cleans my wash wonderfully. Twice there was overflow to the floor but I am thinking that may have been my fault (possibly too much soap, etc.). The appliance repair man who looked at my old washer recommended a Hot Point appliance with minimal extras as the best buy and he was right on.
I would recommend this to a friend!
