As a strength and conditioning coach, I've used many products prior to offering them to my clients. Tennis balls, softballs, lacrosse balls, various foam rollers, stick rollers and foam balls. This foam ball is the best I've tried. From its 5 inch diameter size to the density of foam, it takes care of soft tissue in hard to reach spots like no other product I've used. Adding this product to your tissue quality arsenal is smart.

I swear by this! I have used one in Crossfit during our mobility and flexibility work and found it amazing. Last week I went into Crossfit limping from a hip problem that I have. After using this massage ball for a few minutes the limp and pain were completely gone! Thats when I said - I need to have one of these at my house! I got it 2 days ago and I have used it both days. I will eventually be needing hip replacement surgery but this seems to be prolonging the life of my current hips!

Great idea. Foam rollers are a bit too broad to be effective for me. The size of this ball (about the size of a cantaloupe) is very useful for massaging spots that you can't get to with a lacrosse ball. Very firm dense material but slightly forgiving.

This ball combined with a foam roller is the perfect team. It gets all the areas I'm just unable to reach with the foam roller. It's large enough to work major muscles but can be concentrated to dig challenging areas

I highly recommend this deep tissue massage ball when you need fixing in a hurry, those trigger points are screaming and you can't get to a massage therapist. I tried other smaller balls like a tennis ball, a handball, and even the dog's chuck it ball. None of them were as sturdy. This one gets right to the problem area. I find when I stand against a sturdy wall or heavy door and place the massage ball in the right places and move it around, it give so much relief. Oh yes, sometimes it does hurt, but when it quits hurting, I know I have found the right spot that is troubling me. I have no idea if you could use it on the floor, as I am not as coordinated as I used to be, and haven't tried it because I know what works for me. The ball is not heavy and probably made of Styrofoam and doesn't lose its shape. The dogs would love to play with it, but luckily it is bigger than their mouths. I bought two of them: one to keep at the office and one at home. I might add, when I use it at the office, I have a large heavy solid wooden door. It is perfect when I realize I have been sitting way too long and all of my muscles are on fire.

Loved this so much I bought a THIRD one for our Crossfit gym. I brought mine in and everyone loved it. Two people have bought one for their own use at home. Just the right size to give the right pressure to my back and neck area. Grips on the ball make it so it doesn't slide out from behind you when you are using your living room wall! I look forward to rolling out my neck and shoulders every night. Thank goodness for this baby! I carry a lot of stress in my shoulders and this has been a lifesaver. Don't hesitate to buy this little gem, you won't be disappointed.

A friend pulled a muscle in his lower back/buttocks region. After physical therapy, acupuncture, and more this ball was the only thing that worked for him so when I had lower trouble I gave it a try. Love this thing! Great for doing stretches even if you're not having any soreness or muscle issues. Always keep this handy.

I keep this at work to use on the knots in my back, neck and shoulders that come from working on computer. I use it against the wall -- position it between my neck/back and the wall, with my knees bent so that I can go up, down and sideways as the particular knot requires. You do have to move it around till you find "the spot" that needs to be annihilated. Reviews that say this is too hard -- nope, your knots are just not mean enough. I have dozens of massage products (electric and roller), tens unit, moist heating pads. This helps the most as it isolates the knot that's ruining your day.
