Replace over Sony LED with Tuner issues affecting clarity on lower channels that hopefully will not happen with this TV otherwise it will be the last of many Sony TV I have owned.
I bought this about two months ago, and am very happy with my purchase. I spent months online researching various led/oled sets and finally came to this purchase completely sure of my decision. It’s a gorgeous design with excellent cable management, and most importantly, a fantastic picture. All the folks out there who are worried about blooming artifacts and the like, I would mention that it’s present on occasion in a completely dark room with letterbox bars, but I wouldn’t let that deter you from this fantastic television.

I upgraded from a 9 year old 46XBR TV. The new set has a beautiful picture and some good features, but some I don't like.
When changing channels,I have 3 choices, large, small, or none. Since I only need to see the channel number when changing channels, I selected small. When the channel is changed, the channel info shows but one third of the top screen is darkened which last about 7 seconds. All I want to do is see the number and that's it. I know I can use the Display button but I don't really want to press it every time I change a channel.
The sound options are unnecessarily complicated and nothing is intuitive.
The Home menu requires a lot of buttons to get where I want to go.
On the drop down menus, some of which are pretty long, I have seen menus where I could press the up button and it would go down to the bottom if that's where I want to be. On this set I have to scroll down. Maybe nitpicking but if the action is available it should be included.
I like the t.v but it still puzzles me that it turns on by itself. I checked the timer and it was off. This has happened many times. We don't have a cable box just basic cable and just have it hooked up to an av receiver thru arc and video out
We bought this TV a couple of months ago and it is a vast improvement over our 9 year old plasma set. Picture quality and brightness are fantastic. We were apprehensive about viewing angle, but once it was installed in our home, we discovered our concerns were unfounded. A great set with many options and intuitive controls.
I got this TV as an exchange for my XBR-HX950 that developed a bad panel. I was initially worried that this TV was not a worthy replacement for the HX950 and it's stellar picture. It only took me a day to realize that the 930 was every bit as nice as the 950 with black levels being noticeably darker and more saturated. There is still a minor amount of blooming in certain scenes but most people would fail to notice it. 4K content helps mitigate this very minor performance issue, but the amount of content readily available is not yet a very large library to choose from.
My ONLY real gripe so far is the remote. The response time is spotty at best. It gives a really disconnected feel when browsing and gets annoying at times. The actual remote however is much better than any past Sony remote and has a nice feel in your hand.
