Got my X930E and I'm glad I went with Sony instead of LG OLED. My friend got the same size OLED and we did a comparison. OLED did look a little better with dark scenes in movies, but he also got burn in from playing video games. Love this picture.
This Tv is great if you know where you are placing it,since side viewing Is not great No component jack ,and still no Dolby Vision if that matters to you Remote could be better
My Birthday present to myself and family! Very impressive picture. Colors are vibrant and sharp. Resolution is... WOW! I rated the sound one step below Excellent which means a possible future purchase of a sound bar system to compliment the outstanding picture. I'm still finding things it does. Besides, "It's a SONY!"
I hung on to my Sony XBR WEGA 50 inch LCD Project TV long enough (@14YEARS). WoW is all I can say, setup was , well wasn't really required the TV did it all on its own.
I simply love this Sony 55" Bravia LED, their quality exceeds all other brands on the market, when I buy a Sony I know they are on the cutting edge of electronics and this makes it easy to shop with confidence!
Bought this tv as a replacement for an older model Sony.
Setup: Setup is simple. Follow the promps, login to WiFi/LAN, sign into a Google account or create one.
Menus: Menus are handled on separate screens. The only improvements I’d suggest is allowing the user to bring up a menu without changing the screen they’re currently watching.
Picture: The picture is beautiful. The colors are sharp and bright, the blacks are deep and dark and the backlighting keeps a great balance of both. There are many different settings for gamers and movie watchers. This is one of the main reasons I tend to buy Sony. The TVs I’ve had-l900f included-don’t suffer from motion blur. Which can be distracting to many viewers.
Audio: I use a sound bar. I offer zero input for audio.
Apps: Apps function like using a cellphone. Download the app, login, use the app. Since I’m still new to the 900F I’m not sure if there’s a way to customize the order of the apps yet. I can say that, even after installing all the updates I’m having issues with apps freezing. Sometimes this causes the tv to stop responding all together. I’ve had to unplug the 900F twice because it stopped responding to the controller and wasn’t able to turn the tv off normally nor was I able to change out of the app.
