Image quality is without doubt worth the price. However the AnroidTV OS is laggy some times. Bluetooth connection to my soundbar(samsung) breaks from time to time, eventually used a HDMI ARC connection for my soundbar. Overall a satisfied purchase!
I purchased this tv close to a month ago. The settings for the picture quality are almost perfect out of the box. There’s minimal adjustments that you to do for calibrating this tv. HDR 10 is great. So is Dolby Vision, butninfindnit tonbe too dark at times. Raising the gamma to 2 helped in brighter viewing conditions. Even though it’s a FALD TV theres still some blooming when viewing dark scenes. Overall this is a great mid-range tv. I would actually put it slightly above mid-range. Cable tv sucks on 4K televisions. I’m not sure why, but this was my experience with this tv and my xbr65930d. Doesn’t work well with Apple TV 4k. The issue is on Apple’s side not Sony
The picture seems very good. I have only had the set a few weeks. The remote is not back light nor is it logical or easy to use. The buttons are very small and in the dark hard to find or use. Instructions that came with the product are minimal. Maybe Sony sells a better remote.
I waited to buy this TV for many months choosing to wait for Black Friday, it was worth the wait. I already had a lesser value 4K TV that just didn't POP the colors because it didn't have the X1 Extreme processor. 4K movies look brilliant. I leave this TV in the Vivid mode because I like the Brightness and Contrast at the Max. Though Cinema Pro and Cinema Home look good also. I don't change any of the numbers, too messy. The Motion Flow is left on standard, you may pick up a little of the "soap opera look" but just barely which I like. Great TV, no doubt!
