Surprisingly good dishwasher

We had a horrible experience with our previous GE dishwasher. The power strip went on recall, and GE replaced it. It shorted out four time, and GE was good about replacing it every time for free. After the 4th strip shorted, GE decided it was time to replace it with a new one. It has been installed for about two months and we love it! It makes absolutely no sound, has terrific features, and looks much more sturdy than the first one. It is vastly better. And, GE's service was exceptional from deciding to replace it to following up after it was installed to make sure all was well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great when it worked...

This dishwasher had some nice reviews online. I was aware of its great cleaning power and the less than par drying. Overall the dishwasher performed excellently, especially when compared to the one it replaced. So, why did I give it 1 star out of 5: the main board burned out after 8 days of regular use (yes, dishwasher installed for a little over a week).

Parts started to fail after 1 1/2 years!

We had an older GE Profile Dishwasher that the racks started to disintegrate. The older unit was supplied by builder and was about 10 years old. So we decided to keep with the Profile line to match the existing kitchen appliances. Unfortunately, only after 1 1/2 years the unit stopped cleaning the dishes. Discovered that water was not getting into the tub. Upon troubling shooting the issue we discovered that the inlet water valve failed.
Love how quiet the unit operates and it has many features, just wish it would have lasted longer before it needed repair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

does not clean dishes

Ive had this diswasher for approximately 4 months. i bought this under the impression that it was simply the best, its NOT. my dishes and silverware go in the dishwasher cleaner than they come out. always a film on everything. i am not wealthy but bought this GE product thinking that it would last. i have 2 young children and could have spent the money on them instead of an expensive unreliable dishwasher. never again GE

Silent operation!

I ran the dishwasher for the first time last night, it was so quiet, I could not believe that it was on. It has tons of room and does an outstanding job of cleaning.

Nice unit, but had a broken part 4 months in

The dishwasher, when working, runs silent and has a number of cleaning options (bottle wash, sanitize temp, specify levels to clean, etc...) for a perfect clean adjusted for every circumstance. Unfortunately, our float switch broke and it took a number of service visits for the problem to be identified and/or fixed, which left us cleaning dishes by hand for a month. Not what you'd expect from a new appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So Quiet!

We purchased this product a few weeks ago. Just amazed at how quit the unit is. Not really sure why you would use the delay on this unit, because it is so quiet. Plan on spending a little extra time to install the sound proofing that comes with the unit.
