Super Fast Storage You Must Have!

I got this SSD last week and has used it almost every day since then. I have to say this Samsung Portable SSD T3 works super fast. Just imagine it takes like 10 mins to transfer a 4GB-ish movie, now the time drop to 1 min. I am super happy with this features even my husband, who is a low-tech person has to say this is so fast.
This is small and light, smaller than my palm when I hold it (see photo), yet the storage is plenty (I got the 500Gb one, but there are higher storage available). The design is not so appeal when I saw it on the screen, but when I see it, that's definitely high class and elegant, the strong black and grey color mix well together. I recommend for any one, this is the SSD fit-for-all-gender.
There will be a program comes within the SSD to help you protect your private information and help you use the most out of this perfect SSD.

This is a good product but not great. It's extremely durable and easy to use. The one con I have noticed is that it isn't as fast as advertised (what ssd is?) All in all a good product and would recommend.

External Storage for Backup and Performance Testing

I purchased the Samsung SSD T3 and immediately started to use it for the backup and transfer of files across four different Windows Systems. My primary system is running Windows/7.
My first task was to backup everything on my Windows/7 system using the USB-3.0 port and this went very well and ran much faster than my backup to a network attached drive.
My next task was to transfer 13 Gigabytes of data consisting of 9,623 Directories with 63,434 Files (a mixture of Data Files and Programs of various sizes). I have a script (a Windows CMD File) to copy of the directories and all sub-directories. The copy was fast and worked the first time.
Next, I ejected the SSD from my Windows/7 system and attached it to my Windows/10 system. I started the copy from the SSD to the C Drive and it was looking good. However, about halfway through the copy it started posting error messages. On the fourth attempt it completed the process successfully.
I was not too worried at this point. I have experienced problems with Windows/10 and external USD devices before. Also, I noticed my SSD came formatted with exFAT. I have data files larger than 4 gigabytes so I thought I might be pushing the envelope. I decided to re-format the drive and use NTFS since all my systems are Windows Systems. I have repeated the file copy/transfer from and to all of my Windows Systems (including the Windows/10) and everything has met or exceeded my expectation..
One last comment, the copy of the 13 Gigabytes of data using the SSD attached via a USB 30 port took 6 minutes and 23 seconds. The same task takes over 25 minutes when copying to a network drive.

This HD is nice and small making it easy to travel with. It also transfers large file quickly especially for it small footprint.
