Great looking, doesn't dry
on October 15, 2017

This unit was chosen by the home builder and we really like the look of it in the kitchen. It's fairly quiet and overall we like it. There are two things about it that we do not like. The first is that it doesn't dry the dishes; it only washes them. It's not a big deal but it's annoying when you're in a rush. The second is that the lower rack comes easily off the rails, especially when fully loaded.

Hey there, ZoeT! I hate to hear that you are having trouble with your dishwasher. To improve drying performance, please make sure you are using plenty of rinse aid, your hot water heater is set to 120F, you are running the hot water in a nearby sink prior to starting the dishwasher, and you have not selected Air Dry. Plastics and dishes with concaved bottoms may not get completely dry. The rack should slide in a track. If you pull it straight out and push it straight in, it should stay in the track. If it isn't, please contact us directly at 1-800-374-4432 to provide more details. ~ Brandi

Kind of disappointing

We decided to go with the basic appliance package when having our house built and this was the standard dishwasher. So far, the dishwasher is VERY loud, so loud that we can hardly hear the tv while it is running. There is also a terrible smell coming from the inside. Not sure if it is from the drain or what, but the smell is very off putting.
As far as features; being entry level we weren’t expecting a lot of features, but the sanitize option and the quick wash are nice. It does a pretty good job of getting everything clean, however, dishes do not dry in this machine. Everything is still soak and wet, and we have to wind up drying by hand.
We went with the entry level dishwasher to try and save a little money, but given the price we paid for our house I would have thought the entry level would’ve been a little nice. Had I known what I know now we would’ve upgraded, because I’m pretty sure we’re going to have to replace soon anyways.

Mreding117, I do apologize for the difficulties you’re dishwasher may be causing you at this current time.

We do suggest to make sure the water temperature to the appliance is set between 120*-140*F. This is the minimum temperature range that the water supply must reach in order for the detergent to dissolve completely. Also, make sure the filter trap at the bottom of the unit is free of debris. You may also want to clean the unit by running a hot water/dry cycle with no dishes inside and throw in 2 cups of white vinegar in the unit. This cleans the sprayer arms, and the unit and also deodorizes the unit.

If you are still seeing film and food particles on the dishes after checking your water supply, and cleaning the unit, please try changing detergents to a gel or liquid detergent. Powder tends to build up and corrode parts of the unit.

Hope this helps!

First use didn't go so well

Of all the appliances that we received from Frigidaire with our new home, this is one of the ones I have issues with. I used it one time and noticed that it did not heat dry at all - the dishes were dripping wet when the cycle ended. I read the tips about using Jet Dry (I've never needed Jet Dry before) as well as running hot water, so I will try it but it definitely surprised me to see dripping wet dishes.

Gosh! Ensure the incoming water temperature is at least 120°F for efficient cleaning and drying, haase07. Before starting a cycle, please run the water in the sink until it is hot, to clear cool water from the pipes. Rinse aid greatly improves drying, reduces water spots, and combats filming. You can increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed to help with drying (page 12 in your Owner’s Manual has the instructions). Some plastics may need to be towel dried as they don’t get as hot as metal or glass, so more water collects. I hope this helped! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Cleans Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only reason this get a 4 star is because it doesn't dry all the way, which most dishwasher don't anymore, and the top rack has some big holes so trying to fit smaller things, like lids to my kids cups, are difficult because they fall through. It does clean very well though.

Jason1981, I am sad that your dishwasher is not drying the dishes as expected. The majority of cleaning and drying challenges are related to water temperature. The incoming water temperature should be at least 120°F at the water heater for efficient cleaning and drying. Before starting a cycle, please run the water in the sink until it is hot, to clear cool water from the pipes (like you might do before getting in the shower). Make sure you are using rinse aid, you can even increase the amount dispensed to help with drying (page 12 in your Owner’s Manual has the instructions). Not impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this new dishwasher for a month. It does not fit as many dishes as my last dishwasher (which wasn’t top of the line). It also leaves some of the dishes dirty even tho I rinse everything before putting them in despite the fact that I always wash on high temp. Lastly, it does not dry them very well. In fact, I can’t even tell when the “heat dry” has been on or off. The one think I like about it is that it is very quiet. I think Frigidaire has some great products, but this washer must be a low-end washer because it’s not cutting it for me.

Saun222, I can only imagine how frustrated you must be. Most cleaning and drying challenges are related to water temperature. The incoming water temperature should be at least 120°F for efficient cleaning and drying. Before starting a cycle, please run the water in the sink until it is hot, to clear cool water from the pipes. Make sure you are using rinse aid, you can even increase the amount dispensed to help with drying (page 12 in your Owner’s Manual has the instructions). Debris from dishware can get trapped in the filter, glass trap, and spray arms causing blockages that can influence cleaning efficiency. See page 13 in your Owner’s Manual for care and cleaning information. Some plastics may need to be towel dried as they don’t get as hot as metal or glass, so more water collects. If you have tried these tips and are still having difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact us directly for assistance by calling Mon-Fri, 8a-8p or Saturday 9a-6p EST @ 800-944-9044. Terrible Dishwasher
on April 20, 2018

We bought this dishwasher about 6 months ago now. Had to ship it to our Island so we pay 22% duty on it. I wish we would have looked at some of these reviews before buying! We purchased all Frigidaire appliances as an upgrade to our current kitchen - we remodeled everything. Anyway, it hasn’t worked well from day 1. It’s quite loud, runs forever and it doesn’t clean the dishes well at all - it leaves a nasty white residue all over our black and white dishes! The rinse aid dispenser has had rinse aid in it now for the last 5-6 washes! Clearly doesn’t work! We have to wash our dishes before and after running them through the dishwasher! So what’s the point of the dishwashers then? We are so unhappy with this thing! If it wasn’t so much trouble getting things on and off Island we would return it in a heartbeat. Such a waste of money.

Thank you for your review, Wantonnamo. We apologize that you are experiencing concerns with your dishwasher.
If none of this proves to be successful we would suggest contacting an authorized service provider to schedule a physical assessment and diagnosis of the appliance. Hope this helps! -Jennifer
