Paint started peeling at the top interior

Purchased in 2008. After a few years, the white material (paint?) at the top interior started peeling off. In sections of about 1-3 inches.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have had this product for more than 20 years and it just broke down. It is a perfect match for our shelf above the range. I wanted so bad to buy another one but the sight says it is no longer manufactured. I am very sad.

This microwave is great

My wife and I purchased this microwave in 1988, it has worked for us fabulously since then, but now it won’t work anymore. The people that made this machine back in 1988 should be proud that they made something that would last for 36 years of daily use. I don’t know if they make things like that anymore?

We've been using our s/s countertop GE Spacemaker II for over 12 years without any problems. Still works great!! I'm getting worried though that we might have to replace it one of these days: worried because the new models are so UGLY! Hoping they change the design back to more classic horizontal lines (why curves anyway??), and keep the exact compact dimensions, especially in depth which leaves plenty of counter space.
