Stylish and Effective!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LG PuriCare Air Purifier is a remarkable piece of equipment. It combines style and technology to deliver an effective air purifying system that not only looks great but cleans the air. One of the things I like best is that you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to operate this unit. It offers both manual and auto settings allowing you to control how the unit works. Out of the box and ready to go in about fifteen minutes, I was surprised how quickly the unit was up and running. The operational keypad is simple to understand with settings for on/off, fan speed, particle indicator and a sleep-timer. There is also a button that tells you when the filter needs replacement. The three-part filter is easily accessible on the back of the unit and is removable for cleaning.
Once the unit is turned on, the wow-factor comes into play – an LED light ring around the top that indicates by color the condition of the air. It can be seen from anywhere in the room and changes from red, orange, yellow and green - depending on the air quality. You also have the option to turn the light on or off on the keypad.
The unit is very good at removing both dust and odors from the air. We have dogs and there is no longer dog odor in the room. The room smells fresh since the air purifier has been operating. The only drawback for some people might be the size. It’s about the size of a kitchen trash can. You need to place it in a relatively clear area for it to work properly, so make sure you check the dimensions before you purchase. It’s not heavy at all and there are handles on the sides that make it easy to move from room to room
Overall I am entirely happy with the unit and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an air purifier. One other note – I have several LG appliances and the LG reputation for quality is very evident in this unit.

Great for a house with pets & allergies!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my air purifier and have been using it for a couple of weeks now. We are a household of two cats, a dog and a lot of allergies. I leave the purifier on automatic and it seems to do it's job very well. We can visually see when particle counts are higher in the house, especially when the dog comes in from the outside and walks near it. Since receiving the product we have had much less allergy symptoms and we all sleep better during the night now. When the dog comes in from the wet outdoors, the wet-dog smell is removed quickly from the air and the house always smells fresh. I have the purifier located in the living room, which is a central location for most activity. I never thought we would see such benefit from the addition of the air purifier, but - to our surprise - it does wonders!

Sleek Design & Whisper Quiet Air Cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the unit as part of the Product Review Sampling Program and we've used it for several Weeks. We're very pleased with the results the unit delivered and the styling of the unit. Although we haven't had the unit long enough to go through the maintenance of the filters, it appears to be simple to clean and/or replace based on the instructions. We initially placed the unit in our master bedroom and really noticed the improved air quality with less dust and 'cleaner' smelling air. We currently have it in our rather large open great room where the benefits are not quite a noticeable which is expected.
We loved the LED glow that it provides that works well as a night light. However, it can easily be turned off if desired. The unit is extremely quiet such that it did not disturb our sleep when it was in the bedroom.

Great feature and silent!!

It works very well, and very silent. And always I can monitor the current air quality including dust level with the light color.
I'd like to recommend this one to everybody who has dogs or want some fresh air in their room.

Sleek, silent, and simple

Even though I was only going to be home a couple of days, I wanted to get it set up before I left again. I'm eager to see how well is purifies the air when the cats are closed up as I tend to come home to an evening of sniffling. Getting it set up wasn't much more than removing it from the box! Couldn't have been simpler! I set it up in my living room. It's so sleek, it fits right in and it's so silent, I can't even tell it's on. It set up purifying the air. I could tell it was making a difference when I opened the back door and the particle count jumped. It did warn me that dust would be detected!! Overall, I'm very pleased and can't wait to get back and see how it keeps that cat hair in check.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My LG PuriCare Air Purifier Tower arrived securely packaged. After reading the instructions, installation was a breeze as only packaging tape and the bag containing the filters needed to be removed before the filter assembly containing the three filters was inserted into the unit. The unit was ready for use.
Initially the unit was placed in the Family Room and after an equilibration period, the unit registered a low particle density of 8 µg/m³ and although the fan was running, it was difficult to hear. Throughout its use in this area, the particle density varied from 8 – 130 µg/m³ but the purifier cleared the contaminants (most indicated as dust) within a very short period of time. The unit was then moved to the Master Bedroom and again after equilibration registered a low reading of 8 µg/m³. Although the unit has a sleep timer mode, which I tried, I did not find it necessary continue its use. When showering, and grooming in the adjacent master bath, the steam and odors generated raised the particle density to well over 100 µg/m³ but that dissipated after an hour or so, the longer time needed as the overall area is over 500 sq. ft. almost twice the rating for the purifier.
What can I say about the PuriCare Air Purifier? As a senior, I liked that it is extremely quiet and the display panel is easy to interpret and use. The tower design of the purifier is clean-looking and the exterior is smooth making it easy to wipe clean. Although the unit does have some size, it is not overly obtrusive when in place for use. But what I liked MOST is that after installing the PuriCare Purifier, my sinus congestion and sneezing subsided significantly, particularly at night. If it did nothing more than that (my wife says it has reduced odors too) it would be well worth the cost of owning it.
