It keeps freezing

I really like how this works, it is the best MP3 player I have ever had.
But now it just froze up and I can't use it! If you want to use it, I hope you're okay with it freezing up every once in a while...

Great for Audiobooks

I primarily use this for Audiobooks while I'm driving. The small size is an advantage as my thumb can make any changes. I have had this MP3 for nearly 6 months so far, and the only problem I've got is occasionally the play button wont work.

fails to recognize .mp4; big mistake
on December 3, 2014

My major problem is that it does not support .mp4, the predominant video file format. .mp4 is the video counterpart to .mp3. If it doesn't not support .mp4 it is not a video player. Not recognizing .mp4 is the same as slapping customers in the face. I could convert them to .amv, but a lot of file conversion software offsets the audio/video sync. [Plus, I have the .mp4 videos in my playlists.]
Otherwise, it's fine as long as it is set on MTP, otherwise playlists will not be preserve.
Cons: does not support .mp4

I have the previous version of Go Gear but it was only 4g and it is the best by far. The only reason I upgraded to the newer Go Gear was because it had 8g. I'm having a hard time navigating through it and prefer my older one better, it's much simpler.

Adding Video

Adding video is a nightmare. The format is too specific and is very difficult to convert to.
Pros: easy menu and radio
Cons: video

This is my third Phillips mp3 player. Each one is better than the last one. My only concern is that they don't last a long time.
I would recommend this to a friend!
