jar has leak

I use the blender rarely, maybe 3-5 times a year. Nonetheless, the jar started leaking within a year and now has a huge crack. I can't figure out WHICH replacement jar to buy. Otherwise blender seems fine. It's not as good as my 30 or so year old osterizer (my mom's old one), which would have still been running strong if I hadn't replaced it with this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have bought 3 of these. The first one was for grandchildren, and they wore it out. I replaced that one five years ago and the new one still works. I also bought one for myself about eight years ago and it still works. It did overheat one time when I put too many frozen strawberries in at once.
We all love the smoothie feature. We also like being able to blend hot soups quickly. I use it to make the mixture for freezing ice cream. We don't use it for anything else. For chopping I use a Cuisinart. Just a habit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Warranty Service After Six Years!

The bearing in the pitcher burned out after six years of daily use. Oster replaced the whole unit with no hassle. If the blade and bearings were replaceable on this model, it would have been even easier.

I just dropped and cracked my blender jar after having it for at least 6 years. Love, love, love this blender and hope I can find a replacement jar. We make lots of smoothies with frozen fruit, and I use it for green smoothies. Works Great!

Great Blender but not durable

I used it for a year and a half. Unfortunately after that I had an issue with the rubber. It worked great on pureeing chillies, nuts etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

bearing failure. i'm done with this company also. does anybody do product testing? this might last for light duty usage but that's not what the claim was
