Carafe broke in first year

Doesn't blend fruit for smoothies at all

I bought this about a year ago and this blender is awful! I don't know if the blades are dull or what but the food constantly gets stuff while blending. It does NOT blend frozen fruit and leaves chunks in it. I have tried blending it several different ways in the blender and you have to constantly stop the blender because the food is stuck and wont move. My Nutribullet did a much better job but they don't last long. I would not recommend this product for smoothie making or any hard blending. When blending the frozen fruit the blender started to smell like something electrical was burning. This product is also very loud but I could have ignored that if it actually blended my smoothie.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Jar Leaks a few months in

The jar started leaking just a few uses in. Great blender otherwise but this is not acceptable. Hoping to return it or get a replacement from Oster, very disappointing.

This is our third unit. We use it in a daily basis and it gets a workout. Since it's our third, you can tell we like it. My only reason it's not a five star is that I am of the opinion that they could last longer before something major goes wrong.
When we have had problems Oster has provided fantastic customer service. Another reason we stick with this product. Thanks Oster.

Good product

3 years ago (2016) my husband got me this blender, specifically because it has the smoothie feature. During this time I never had problem of any kind until a month ago before the warranty expires the blender just stop working. I check the warranty and contacted customer service and got the item replaced. I got exactly the one that I returned, the red blender that match my kitchen colors. So far it is working perfectly and I see that now it is a 7 year limited warranty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ok blender but the jar.... ugh

Our first Versa burned out within a year for absolutely no reason. All we ever made were smoothies. Oster replaced it at no cost, which we thought was pretty wonderful. The second is working fine, but the plastic jar looks absolutely awful. We follow the instructions for cleaning a T! (Dishwashing soap, water, blend for 30 minutes, rinse, dry)... and nope... it's completely corroded over with a whit film and looks absolutely awful sitting on our counter. Very disappointed. And will not buy an Oster product after this experience.

Not great

I bought this blender after reading its reviews. But only after an Year and used hardly with great care the jar started leaking oil and one morning while using the blender made weird sound so I stopped it and lifted the jar and saw blackish thing. My husband asked me not use the blender till the time I don’t get new jar. Now I need to buy new jar .

Lasted a long time

I purchased this on 2/26/2015. I am now 5.5 years later. Well, the jar is finally leaking. It lasted a long time. It has seen LOTS of use and I was always satisfied. Easy to clean. Now to figure out how to get it fixed or purchase another.
I would recommend this to a friend!
