disappointment

I'm rather disappointed in my Versa. It works okay but I'm sorry I didn't get the Vitamix. I continue to have problems with the gasket around the lid even though they sent me a replacement. The gasket is not tight and so it's difficult to get the lid in place without the gasket sticking out somewhere. And now I've noticed that I have brown goo coming out the the bearing in the base of the jar. I've cleaned and used the product according to directions, but it doesn't perform quite as well as my friend's Vitamix,
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not the quality I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this item a month ago. The smoothie setting does not blend ice correctly. Big chunks are left in smoothie. NOTE: Jar is not shatter proof or high impact resistant. Mine broke very easily and cost me $75 to replace (more expensive than Vitamix jar which is high impact resistant). Do not be fooled, this is not the same as Vitamix. Just invest in Vitamix if your comparing.

Not worth it

I purchased this blender a few months ago for smoothies because the reviews said it was compatible to a blendtec or vitamix. That is simply not the case. The speed knob only has 3 settings and it sounds as if it is going to explode if you put it past the first speed. I do not recommend this product.

A never known problem???

We bought the Osterauer Versa about a year ago, used it a lot and simply loved it. Last Sunday I made a 'healthy teriyaki sauce' with mango, garlic, peanut oil, lemon peel and juice and tamari. Something strange happened: the jug seemed to have, everywhere the sauce hit the material, whiteish spots which couldn't be removed (I emptied anc cleaned the jug immediately as always). The material seems to be damaged, the jug looks awful now.
Please advise! You give a 7 years warranty for this machine ...

Jar leaks

I bought this July 2016, and the jar recently began to leak dark liquid from the bottom. Pretty disappointing that I need to buy a new jar after a year and a half

I bought this machine just to blend smoothies, my magic bullet couldn't keep up with the demand of daily usage. I bought the versa bundle of 2 smoothie bottles and the food processor. I LOVE THE FOOD PROCESSOR for grating soooo many things without a problem at all, the capacity is great for me. The pre programmed settings for smoothies and dips are nice since you can start it and leave it. And yes you can adjust the speed between the 3 "programmed" settings, always a nice touch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good blender

Is a very good blender I really like the way it blends the only problem that I have now is the lid it needs a new rubber seal because it's all loose and I can find a replacement rubber seal or a new lid for the jar.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Blender just started smoking

I bought this blender three and a half years ago. I use it fairly regularly, but not daily. I use it for soups and smoothies. I started to make a smoothie a few days ago and smoke started pouring out of the motor. I immediately unplugged it from the wall. To be honest it had been making a weird noise for the past two years anyways. It kept working so I didn't complain. Will not be buying this again. It should have lasted a bit longer than this.
